I don't understand your hesitation to contact TLG and report this. Any time I have had missing or broken pieces, I contact them, give the proof of purchase code as well as the box tape code and that's it - whatever was missing/broken is sent right away. Your hesitation is confusing for sure - why complain and then not do anything to try and remedy the issue? Surely you don't wish your experience to happen to someone else.

Here you go! Same thing!

lol.

My personally worst LEGO experience happened a couple days ago. I was at my dads office near the hospital... and what did I find on the floor. My Iron Man Head from the avengers The Avengers Quinjet City Chase set. Without his helmet or anything!

I was freaking out.

But that's a fakey! *insert shocked slap cheeks with hands sarcastically face here*

I don't think I've really had a BAD experience. Was missing a piece from the Batcave set but still cracked on with other pieces I had and I'll just have a word with them for a replacement. Lego always seem to be top with customer service.

Except when they call their customers stupid for playing with toys.

And when did this become a place where people recount THEIR worst Lego experiences?? This topic was started by the OP to discuss HIS worst experience! We haven't gotten to the bottom of that one yet!

I think you did get to the bottom of it:

Here you go! Same thing!

Sheng Yuan has a decent mold for that ray-gun parts, OP somehow got it in his set, he's not too fussed about getting replacements or too worried about it happening to others, and nobody wanted to belabor the point, so some people talked about bad experiences that were actually Lego's fault.

... somehow ...

That's not the bottom! I need to dig deeper! I want to belabor the point! Somehow? Exactly how is what I wanna know! Ace Brickman style!

So, I'm not sure what more can be said on this topic. The poster claims his set was an error, some people (myself included) assume foul-play, and some people assume it was legit.

We'll honestly never know. If it was an error, it is an unheard of error that has never happened before. Sure, we've seen sets missing parts, but not sets with totally different, unrelated parts. If it was foul play, most of us who have been collecting for some time caught onto it. And it's not like the poster will admit it anyway.

So, what now...?

In 2016 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a Lego court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Eurobricks underground. Today, still wanted by the Eurobricks Moderators, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the trans red ray gun hoax calling team.
