this is really good tbh.

i have just bought this set over the weekend, as i wanted to buy it before it is retired. so im going to try and build it tonight.

i also brought the pet shop first.

To be honest some people dont like this set but i like the look of it as it brings back an old style to it which is really cool. looking forward to building this :)

Thanks. I am kinda kicking myself for getting this set BEFORE I bought the pet shop. I didn't think double VIP points would have such an effect on the stock, because when I was ready to buy the pet shop, it was no longer available. I really went back and fourth in which one to get first, and went with this one because it looks cooler imo. I still hope to get the pet shop before that retires as well. Hopefully...

i hope you do as well they are a pain when the prices go up tbh.

i looked long and hard at all of them and just started the oldest to newest.

so the next ones i will look to buy will be parisian restaurant then detectives office then lastly brick bank.

by that time hopefully a new set will be out :). or ill just save for the ghostbusters headquarters haha.

Double points always comes on when ive got other things to pay out for which is frustrating haha.

I hear ya. My buy order is pretty much the same as yours, except I need to get the Pet Shop next. I also already have the GB HQ (which is an awesome set btw). Better than even the modulars IMO.

aha yeah hopefully get the modulars out the way in the next 3-4 months then maybe one or 2 months saving for the ghostbusters HQ and i will get the Ecto-1 start of next month. just getting the room for all of it is the issue haha. but im sure i can store it all somewhere lol.

I have just begun my Lego city, I only have a few sets so far. So I have LOTS of work to do on that. Luckily for me, space isn't really an issue, yet lol. My main priority at the moment is completing my pirate/castle/lotr world that I am creating. Still have LOTS to do on that one as well, but it's actually getting pretty full. So I won't be focusing on the city until I get that one a little more complete. I just didn't want to miss out on a few sets (tower bridge, Palace cinema, pet shop, GB HQ) before they retire. So that's why I've been snagging up those ones, even though they are not my focus at this time.

I know the GB HQ is a new set, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has a shorter shelf life, especially given Lego's recent history. So if that's a set you really want, I would get it within this calader year, because I would not be shocked if it's gone by 2017.

ah yeah i have just buying building and some of the fire and police sets atm plus road plates haha.

that sounds pretty cool, im not a fan of LOTR and castle etc but they do look nice sets some of them.

Yeah that is a good point regarding the the GB HQ. i am going to buy the Ecto-1 next month and possibly another building not sure yet.

then after all the other modular buildings are out the way i will get the GB HQ. but that will take 1-3 months saving depending on if i have any issues with car etc.

I plan on getting some fire and police sets for sure, once I really start my city. I'm just not to worried about them at the moment, it seems like lego makes a new one every year.
