9 fingers Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Greetings. Because it was a beautiful sunny Sunday, I'm home alone, I came up with the idea, but what if I do a little test with these RC Buggy motors. On Throttle I made this one tricycle so grudgingly as never before. It was made exclusively for speed measurements. The first variant is made with a direct drive to the rear wheel from the internal (faster) output motors. As you can see, nothing special. Clean simple mechanism for steering, easy attachment of 2 motors and holder of the phone which I measured speed. Whole 20.78 km / I achieved by direct transfer. I must admit I expected more. I do not know why. I think that was too short distance. The second test I set about to change gear ratios. Depending on the ratio of 1.6 to 1 to have the logic to be faster, but unfortunately this was not the case. The achieved speed was 19.80 km/h. Yeah slower. Totally disappointing. Well, that would be all. Sunday's final at the corners passed just fantastic, because it was a real pleasure to drive such a fast toy. Here is a video: Thank you for watching. Any better ideas are welcome. If I have time, I'll be happy to make it and tested for you. Best regards, Valter Quote
