ChocolateEinstein Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I'm working on a T4 dakar truck right now, and I plan on getting another LiPo battery to power two buggy motors I'm going to fit in it. its gonna fly! I was wondering if there was any way to run two 8878 Lipo batteries through one sbrick in series, so I get the full 14.4 volt potential. Is this possible? will the sbrick or buggy motors (or both) melt? Is this a good Idea? or should I simply get another sbrick and not worry about the hassle? Thanks! Quote
Jantayg Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I think sbrick would melt at 14.4 volts. As I remember its maximum is just above 10 volts Quote

dr_spock Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Anything above 11.8V will damage the Sbrick's motor driver chips according to the Sbrick spec sheet. You'll have to hack the Sbrick with a more robust motor driver IC. Quote
