I like the small fountain area and how you used a trans blue bar to imitate water, nice trick. Also cool how you used studs to build up the pillars. The contrast between black, red, and brown, with highlights of gold and white, really good scheme here. I havw a few questions as well. Where did you get the golden beard piece? He's using a pretty slick rendering program, but it's obvious the build is all digital, which explains the part recolors. Anyway, really nice MOC! One of the best temples I've ever seen. Nice job! Yes, it is all digital model, and i am kinda newbie in lego creations, just a couple of months when i start to buy some lego sets to my boy so maybe during my low expirience there are some bricks that has not their colors in real life, i'm very sorry about that( Quote

Or does it just look unrealistic at all? If I didn't read "LDD" then I would have assumed it was real. So they built this in LDD, then took the build somewhere else to look all shiny with another program? Quote

It's Technic, Brick Modified 2 x 2 with Pin Hole, Rotation Joint Ball Half (Horizontal Top) I'm not sure how many pictures you see of digital versus actual Lego models, but to me it's very obvious it's completely digital, even without the [LDD] tag... I'm working on that feeling now, we see digital mostly because of perfect aligning of parts and parts are perfectly without any scratches and so on) i'm trying to find out how to add some randomness in this stuff. Scheme is looking like this - you build your model in LDD, then import it at mecabricks site,(or you can build model on mecabricks without using LDD) then export it from mecabricks like 3D model so then you can open it in most of 3D software (3D Max, C4D, Blender, etc). Then it takes some time to tune up materials correctly to match original LEGO colors, reflections, specular, shadows, add some lighting and finally render it (it takes some time depending on size of model and scene setup) Thank you all for your opinions, i'm happy that you like it ) Edited March 22, 2016 by Red_One Quote

I haven't really seen a digital Lego model that ever looked somewhat realistic (other than Lego CG game trailers). I guess I need to see more comparisons to tell. Taking a closer look at this, I now see small inaccuracies like how odd the gold and flame pieces look. gamejutzu Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 (edited) Looking back at this, There are a few nitpicks i'd have if this was turned into a real set. The stud pillars look very fragile and sensitive. And the middle area with the bed and chests is too small to realistically access.
