TristanBane Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Not sure if this is the right place to post but it is Lego, Star Wars and an MOC - so I figured why not. This is the first of two Star Wars themed Lego mosaics I'm working on. It measures 96*96 studs (2x2 of the 48 stud base plates). The second one, which is a work in progress will measure 144*144 studs or 9 of the 48 stud base plates. I'm very happy with how it worked out (Wife and kids love it too). I think the next one will be even better! DSC_0017 by tristanbane, on Flickr DSC_0015 by tristanbane, on Flickr Quote
ISDAvenger Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Very cool indeed. You did a great job in mapping the design out. Quote
Only Sinner Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 It's really nice. I love this kind of art. Quote
Forresto Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Impressive, most impressive. I've never been able to wrap my head around mosaics so well done on doing an impeccable job. My favorite part is the lighting on R2 D2 you've manage to capture! Quote
Ellisss_ Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 This is fantastic! Fantastic detailing, I don't think I could get anywhere near this if I tried my hardest! Great use of colour ! Quote
TristanBane Posted April 8, 2016 Author Posted April 8, 2016 A terrible photo of my most recent effort. This one measured 196*196 studs. DSC_0008 by tristanbane, on Flickr Quote

lanesteele240 Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 when people build these mosaics, do they use bricks or plates. Also are they all 1x1 or do they use a 2x4 to fill in larger spaces Quote
