I need suggestions on how to configure that train wheels and what size wheel to use from BBB I was thinking medium wheels but i am not totally sure and if you have other suggestions please let me know! Here are some picture!:

Hi RailCo, pictures look good enough to me. Is spot on the classic train.

The problem you've got is the classic train base plate was always too low for larger wheels, unless you up the size generally or break the plate line. I would mix it up, at most you might be able to get away with 2 pairs of BBB medium wheels, other than that have small red BBB wheels at the back and go for one pair at least of the classic 4.5v red spoked wheels at the front, connecting the axle pins to free moving technic pins (like Ben Beneke's BR23)

I guess I am confused on your description of what configuration you are suggesting and I did now just realize I will have to change the height of the locomotive to get the locomotive even with the tender.

Thanks

Update #1: It can roll! The main thing is that it had wheels and can now run on the track which I have tested and it doesn't derail!(Always a plus). You may also notice it has a longer boilr and there are slight differences here and there.

I would love to get feedback along with I need major help with locomotive detail for the wheels and making the chassis look more detailed. Also how I should do buffers and magnets, should I go and buy the Red Lego buffer stops found on the 7750 or make my own and attach them to the front and trailing wheels bogies!

Thanks

It looks so cute! So simple but yet so well built. It reminds me of the first 'Railway Series' books. (Predecessor of Thomas and Friends)

Thank you very much my goal in the trains I make is to give it that classic feel since I was born in the 90's I never truly got into trains till the Emerald Night came out so I love the classic era that I never got to experience. Also I am not familiar with the 'Railway Series' only Thomas and friends which is what I remember as a kid.

If you have suggestions let me know

Hi Rail Co,

sweet little engine you have there! It really does feel a little bit like the old 9v/12v engines.

Regarding the buffers it really depends on you. If you want to stick to the old engines or have at least a similar looking one you should also use Lego's buffers, if possible even the red ones: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=4022&colorID=5&in=A

If you want to get more realistic you should make brick-built buffers. I normally opt for brick built as I like a more realistic look rather than a toyish look, but in the end it all depends on you

@ScotNick Thank you very much for your kind comment I think I will go with brick built, something to work on next weekend!

@LT12V Thank you very much feel like the tender isn't detailed enough on the sides but that's just me.

Thanks again!

@LT12V I was actually thinking of doing that but it seems to run fine at the moment so I will keep that thought in mind! and my concern with the tender was it seemed a little bland on the sides and was wondering if I should added piping or tubing or valves to add some extra fine detail to the model

Thanks
