Zarkan Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Quote I don't have the slightest clue what was my first set Same here, although it may have been a blue jet I got in 1997 (can't remember the name). I started building with system legos about then, although I was playing with duplo in my 2's (Mom has pictures to prove it). ;-) Quote
optimus-convoy Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I don't remember exactly what my first set was, but one of the earilest sets I can remember is 1463, Treasure Cart. This one stands out in my mind mainly because I accidently dropped the minifig torso into a heater vent. (I was only 3. :-P) I got it out though. X-D Quote
Commander Wolf Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Hard to be certain since I was so young... But I think it was 715. Quote
Brainbox Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Can't seem to find any record of mine. Anywhere. But I do know that my first sets were two Ready Brek Promo items: a pirate raft and a castle catapult. Unfortunately, my parents didn't keep the box or the instructions :-( . I probably wouldn't remember them if I saw them. Quote
Jesper Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 You are so young. My first set, that I can remember, was this baby: - and yes, I still have the bricks and instructions. Box is unfortunately gone. Quote
mutley777 Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 This was my first set that i remember getting. *wub* I recently bought it again MIB just to re-live those old fond memories. Quote

Thanks to your description we know what sets you mean, though. Use brickset or LUGNET for pics... Quote
oo7 Posted November 24, 2006 Author Posted November 24, 2006 What about Bricklink, which I like better than the two above because of the set inventories. Peeron is good too, but even on my pretty fast computer it loads kinda slow. Quote

If I just want to paste a pic I always use LUGNET, because it loads fastest. brickset loads very slow, BL is so-so, and peeron isn't the fastest either. Quote

It seemes that my first set was this ( now I actually remembering, having the parts, but not the set; it was released in 1964, and I was born in 1968, so I have been very, very young, I luckwise had a LEGOholic father) *sweet*: 315-1 Quote
BearHeart Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 The armour shop 6041 was my first LEGO set. I got it for my sixth birthday. Unfortunatly I lost about half the pieces from the set. :'-( Quote
Dino_Bot Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Parts of the yellow castle, handmedown. Quote
Lego Amaryl Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Probably this Basic set: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/350_2 But I think my parents had already bought me this System set, which I was too young to build: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/6659 and my mom already owned this set, found in an Easter Egg: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/621_1 When young, my mom had a little box of Lego pieces (bricks, plates, roofs, windows from 60s-70s), but my grandma gave it to her cousins!! >:-( Quote

simonwillems Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 This was the first set I was given even before I was born.... I still love the "not really complicated" design. *sweet* Quote
oo7 Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 Wow, this thread is still active. Now that I look back again I see that not many the only ones who followed my templat at all followed it very strictly. The red was just to show the part of my post that described the information that one should put in their post. Most copied the red color itself. 8-| Although, it's not that I haven't looked back at the older posts before, I'm just doing it agian now. I'm being an idiot now. :-$ :-D Bye. Quote
