baseballnut Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Im working on a scale model of detroit tiger stadium that was in detroit michigan (demolished in 2009) I want to be accurate measurement wise so i have been using a sketchup model scaled correctly for reference and measuring. The scale is close to microfig scale but im having trouble figuring out how to design the seats to look as they did in real life because the dont run on a straight line they run on a diagonal. Ive looked at other models done like the lego yankee stadium and the lego wriggly field but cant figure out how they did the seats. Below I have attached the scaled down sketchup model section and the LDD file that I have done so far but doesnt look right to me. also of note I am building this on 32x32 base plates to make it easier to move when built. Vorkosigan Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Why not build it straight but mount it at an angle relative to the ground, using just a few studs to connect as feasible and tiles to support the rest. Quote
baseballnut Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 That wont work because the outside wall on the lower level is straight but the upper deck level outside wall and seating is angled in this section so im stuck with building it on the diagonal unfortunately Quote
