Pego Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Hello! Here´s another moc that I´ve built: Tiny Unimog by Pego's Legos, on Flickr The functions are: 4x4 drive (M motor) Steering (M motor) Dumping (M motor) It has no suspension as it would be impossible to fit it in there, but the chassis has some flex (maybe 5-10 degrees) so it´s not too bad offroad. I wanted to replicate an Unimog 406 as it has big tires and a short chassis. I want to make another similar Unimog with a bucket up front to be able to load up this one. nastystage Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 very nice little truck!! Great shape and functions Quote
Sylvian Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 You rock when it comes to tiny offroad machines! Quote
THERIZE Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Yep that is tiny! And she looks awesome! Quote
LegoMathijs Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Nice shape and compact. Well done! Quote
TinkerBrick Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Quite recognizable as an Unimog. Impressive how you managed to squeeze everything in there. Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 That is unbelievable! The truck has all the functions motorized and everything you would expect on a model 4 times bigger! How did you adapt the battery for use with the power functions, and how well does it drive? Quote
Paul B Technic Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Great work to add some many features to something so small. Quote
Pego Posted February 29, 2016 Author Posted February 29, 2016 Thanks guys! That is unbelievable! The truck has all the functions motorized and everything you would expect on a model 4 times bigger! How did you adapt the battery for use with the power functions, and how well does it drive? Well, almost, it lacks suspension :) The battery is a 9V with a minizip cable: http://mechnable.com/content/minizip-shop/ It drives like a trial truck; slow and without diffs, it slows down in corners because of the extra resistance Quote
JJ2 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I love it, its TINY! Is there any chance of a LDD file? Quote
Epic Technic Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Very cool! It looks really good, like JJ2 said, any chance of an LDD? Quote
agrof Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 (edited) This is technic essence. Great MOC, only the wires need to push into the cabin. Your solution makes me consider to buy a minizip cable. How is the performance with 9V battery compared to normal AA Battery Box (last, output voltage)? Edited March 2, 2016 by agrof Quote
Pego Posted March 3, 2016 Author Posted March 3, 2016 Thanks! LDD file is coming, possibly today. Compared to a Lego rechargable battery the batteries have maybe 1/2 or 2/3 of the runtime, and a little more voltage. I don´t know much of the AA batterybox though. I´d say, if you have a Lego rechargable BB it´s worth it, if you have the AA BB it´s a must buy! Quote
agrof Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Thank You for the answer. You don't leave much space to making this decision, do You? Quote
