kjm161 Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I don't have a grocery store in my Lego town and wanted to modify the Friend's supermarket. The grocery store is loosely based off of a small local independent grocer. I added the cupcake shop on the second floor since we all need to indulge sometimes, and its entrance is at the rear of the building. A few more photos are on my Flickr page. Comments always appreciated. tkatt Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I wouldn't consider this a MOD of the Friends Grocery Store, it is way beyond that. Nice work. Quote
THERIZE Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Great!! The interior is really well done with nice details on the outside! Quote
Withacee Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Great build! I think we can safely call this a MOC. It's inspired on those sets, but far more than just a modification. I especially like the façade with the set-back doors and the interior of the supermarket. How many sets did you use of both? It also looks as if you needed a lot of extra parts. I see some Simpsons Quick-E-Mart pieces, too. Keep clicking those bricks together. Quote
MrBrickMan Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 This is great. I'm starting the planning of an old-fashioned ice cream parlor and I think I'm be returning to look at this for a few interior details. Quote
kjm161 Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Thanks everyone. I did not know whether to call this a MOD or an MOC because it uses mostly the Friends sets as the inspiration. I used 2 supermarket sets and only one cupcake set. The rest of the pieces came from my collection. Quote
jjava Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I wouldn't consider this a MOD of the Friends Grocery Store, it is way beyond that. Nice work. Agreed. Nice job OP. Quote
Legogal Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Wow! The interior is lovely! So many interesting details and pieces. And the exterior is perfect as well. Nice build! Quote
