Ex cinno Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 (edited) Hi all. Here some pictures of two 7-studs versions of the Italian E424 locomotive. The first, inspired by a model posted some time ago by LEGO Train 12 Volts, is the version with the classic livery "Isabella". The second is a model that is often called "shuttle" and, although the colors are not as specials as the sister, I find it still has an interesting pattern. JopieK Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Very nice Ex cinno. I like the 7-wide option too, 8 is too wide in my opinion, but 6 makes one loose details. I like the brows version better although the light blue looks nice too! Quote
ALCO Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Very nice! I once rode the Regionale Veloce and really enjoyed looking at the Italian trains and locomotives! They are so different from anything in the United States, I really began to appreciate what you have over there. Quote
THERIZE Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I like the pantographs on the green(?) and red locomotive. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Very nice work Ex Cinno! Now you have your own version of the E424 Isabella and Shuttle Are you planning to do other italian locomotives? 'cause they're always welcome! Quote
Ex cinno Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 I like the pantographs on the green(?) and red locomotive. Hello Therize, thank for your post but my locomotives are one in sand yellow/reddish brown and the other in white/medium blue . No green and red locomotives here: may be your monitor need some adjustment? Very nice Ex cinno. I like the 7-wide option too, 8 is too wide in my opinion, but 6 makes one loose details. By the way your flickr is amazing. Very nice work Ex Cinno! Now you have your own version of the E424 Isabella and Shuttle Are you planning to do other italian locomotives? 'cause they're always welcome! Hello Lego Train : I take this opportunity to thank you for the valuable tips you have given me. And yes, i'm thinking about another italian loco but is too early to talk about it. Quote
King Aragorn Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Lovely creation! Just one question, shouldn't be green the upper part of the model n.2? Quote

Ex cinno Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Nah, I'm colourblind. So it isn't my monitor. Hi Therize, i know well your problem because my brother is colourblind too. We played football together for many years and he never passed the ball to the wrong player. Quote
Ex cinno Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Lovely creation! Just one question, shouldn't be green the upper part of the model n.2? Yes, you are right more or less. However i think that of the Lego colors medium blue is what it looks more the same. I could use sand green but my simulations with Ldd have led me to use the medium blue. Quote
Man with a hat Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Very nice. I actually like the medium blue version better. The curves on the cab there work better I think. But they are probably not available in dark tan. Quote
