When I first began building Lego fire apparatus, I built 6-stud wide models. But after about 9 months, I wasn't satisfied with the lack of detail offered by building an approximate 1:48 scale vehicle. Then I discovered 8-stud wide models! Woah! The level of detail is so much better, but with this detail comes the use of many more bricks.

This reminds me of Lego Fire Museum's work on Mocpages, your Ahrens-Fox is quite similar to his build from 2010, see http://www.moc-pages...moc.php/227285. It's worth mentioning since you have borrowed some main characteristics of the original build.

Thus I'd rather call this a MOD (modified build) than a MOC (own creation). In any case it's nice to name our inspirations and to set a link so that everybody may compare the original build and its recreation.
