SirNadroj Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Hola! ;-) Since my success with the ambassador key chain remvoal, I have taken the beret and put it sideways on a matador minifigure, which looks really good. But I made 3 different matadors, and I don't know which one is best or more accurate. I was wondering what you guys think. *y* I've also made a bull. This is one of my first brick-built animals, so go easy on me. X-D The whole thing is pretty big, and the horns are too big also, but that makes it even funnier to watch! :-D Matador #1 Matador #2 (as suggested my oo7 on Flickr) Matador #3 The bull and the matador: Bull: Back: Head and horns: Nose ring: X-D Back/Shoulders: Charging up: Thanks guys! Let me know what you think! ;-) Quote
Loco de Lego Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 (edited) I love the Matador it is just great and I also love the bull I would suggest working on the back of the bull like a tail or something. Also how much was the ambassador fig on brink link. The best one is number 2 I think. LuxorV Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 My vote goes to #2, for he's just sooo funny with that scared face X-D *wub* . And I think the legs full of good-luck charms (if I see them right) fit in perfectly with his face *y* . The bull is also very nice, even if the back so high behind the head makes it seem more like a bison than a bull 8-| . LuxorV Quote
Vader Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Nice *y* i love the simple design you have used for the bull, oh and i hope the bull wins X-D Quote
john cleese Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 No2 FTW! I like the bull but the legs need work. and i ike the big horns. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Matador 2. The bull's nose ring makes it look a little like he is sticking out his tongue. :-D Quote
TheFrisian Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 I really like the first matador, the jacket looks great! *sweet* And the bull is just awesome, especially since it's one of your first brick built animals. However, I would like to suggest that you make the torso a bit bulkier, and the legs a little less far apart. But keep the big horns, they are really intimidating ;-) Quote
MicVash Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 :-D When I scrolled down to see your second Matador that was a surprise! Very funny and creative! *y* The bull turned out better than I expected from a brick built animal. I think the horns are fine, makes it a bit comical like your Matador. Nice touch with the nose ring. john cleese Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Matador 2. The bull's nose ring makes it look a little like he is sticking out his tongue. :-D actually I thought the same thing, it almost looks too much so IMO Quote
Kliq Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Very neat! I personally like matador 3. The creation of the bull is very clever, but like Loco de Lego mentioned, a tail would be a great addition. Very cool idea for the nose piece. 8- Quote
Sir Dillon Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I like the bull... it looks like something you would see in a cartoon. :-D With the matadors, I like number two the most. However, since bulls are attracted to red, isn't it foolishness to be wearing red clothes also? ;-) Quote

Sir Dillon Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Actually, I believe bulls are color blind... :-D Aren't they attracted to the red capes though? Or perhaps that is just some type of urban myth. :-/ Quote
TheFrisian Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Quote from Wikipedia: "It's a common myth that the color red is supposed to anger the bull, despite the fact that bulls are colorblind (the real reason that a red colored cape is used is that any blood stains on it will be less noticeable)" I think that answers your question quite nicely ;-) Brutal form of entertainment though, the bulls are wounded and weakened by loss of blood long before the matador enters the arena. Doesn't sound like a fair fight to me. |-/ Quote
MicVash Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I believe its a terrible sport. There's nothing heroic about enticing a poor beast to its death. Don't watch this video if you have empathy for the bull. Quote
Wout Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Ole and *y* A nice matador and a nice Bull. Love the nosering. I vote for Matador nr 2. I heard something that the bull is already angered before the fight/slaughter. Animal Rights on! :-D Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 8, 2007 Governor Posted November 8, 2007 The mighty inquisition is looking for new Matadors. Send their CV's to the Armada Administration and their suitability will be reviewed. Quote
SirNadroj Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 Actually, I believe bulls are color blind... :-D Just like me! :-D Aren't they attracted to the red capes though? Or perhaps that is just some type of urban myth. :-/ I hear polar bears are too. But they don't have an annual Polar Bear run in Spain, and they don't have polar bear fights. ;-) The mighty inquisition is looking for new Matadors. Send their CV's to the Armada Administration and their suitability will be reviewed. What? X-D Quote

SirNadroj Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 Thanks for the translation; my spanish stops at numbers. :-$ I take Spanish in school now, so I'm OK with it, but once I stop, I won't remember a cotton-picking thing! :-D ............... :'-( I think I'll take up Danish or German. *y* Quote
Siegfried Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I think I'll take up Danish or German. *y* From what I have heard from a German friends, German is hard due to genderfication of words. Quote
