Tanethra Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Hi there everyone, I'm a /ahem 45 year old from Manchester, England. I enjoyed my childhood playing with Lego from the simple building blocks, the mini vehicles of cars and space vehicles then into the Technical Lego and the train sets of the 80's 12V fame. I drifted away from Lego during my latter teens when I took up guitar, (still enjoy playing it to this day), and education and work commitments and all that adult stuff. Anyway with meeting my wife and having a child you guessed it Duplo was the order of the day for the young one and my wife reinvigorated my love of the plastic brick and got a few sets to build for my birthdays and Christmas. The most notable sets I got are the Scania Truck, the VW Camper Van and the Millennium Falcon to name a few. It fair to say I've been bitten by the bug again and I've managed to repatriated some of my old sets from my parents attic ! I'll be no doubt be quizzing you on converting my 12v Lego trains to run with power functions as I'm at a loss as to the whereabouts of the transformer Cheers Quote
hadidi1999 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Hello, It is always nice to meet new people I have always loved LEGO too. And well I don't know what else to say. Oh I have one thing to ask and that is have you been active in the community before you lost interest. Or is it now that you are trying to connect with other LEGO fans. Because where I live here in Mississippi, in the USA, there is not much and this is the only community for me. Quote
dr_spock Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Welcome aboard. See you in the train forum. Minimum Power Function parts to run a train. Quote
