xboxtravis7992 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 I want to know what is the tallest Constraction Set! I bought General Grievous today and I am amazed by his height. What is the tallest constraction set? Quote
bacem Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 There's also witch doctor, who practically has similar height. I don't know any set taller than that. Probably there's some titans from old bionicle lines, but not sure. Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) I just checked Brickset. Grievous is registered as 11" tall, Toa Mata Nui from 2009 is registered as 13" tall. I haven't checked the height of things like Ultimate Dume or the Fenras Dragon yet.(EDIT: I meant the Kardas Dragon) Edited February 17, 2016 by xboxtravis7992 Quote
The Outsider Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Just checked on Biosector01; the "largest" BIONICLE set was Skopio XV-1; before that, it was the Kardas Dragon (which I think is probably the tallest, since Skopio was a quadruped vehicle). Don't know about Hero Factory or anything with CCBS, though. Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) The Skopio might have been the largest width wise, but height wise Brickset says it is only 8" tall. Edited February 17, 2016 by xboxtravis7992 Quote

Did Brickset measure it with its legs retracted, or standing up? I don't own the Skopio, but I've seen it in hand before - I wouldn't be surprised if the Skopio, with its legs splayed, were taller than Grievous. MakutaOfWar Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Wait, what about 08 Takanuva? D: Or does my memory deceive me? It's been 7 years since I've had him built. And how large was Ultimate Dume? If Kardas can count, then he can too. Quote

Takanuva 2008 is actually shorter than Toa Mata Nui, and about the same size as Grievous and Witch Doctor. Edited February 17, 2016 by Voxovan Quote
DraikNova Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Constraction in general, probably the Kardas Dragon. CCBS-wise, General Grievous or Witch Doctor, depending on how you pose them. Making a thick layer of small shells for big MOCs is all good and well, up to the point where you start to want certain surfaces to be rigid and be capable of supporting their own weight properly. MakutaOfWar Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) @Voxovan I thought he compared to WD, thanks! And speaking of Toa Mata Nui, I was going to get him in December of 09', but TRU were out of stock. So what did I spend the cash on? ... :( Stars... Edited February 17, 2016 by MakutaOfWar Quote

Well, Toa Mata Nui wasn't a great set either :P Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) I envy all those who purchased Toa Mata Nui only for that gold Ignika mask which now catches a $40 price on Bricklink. Edited February 17, 2016 by xboxtravis7992 Quote
DraikNova Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Maybe I should sell mine. Might as well get something out of a mostly useless set. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Oh really? I just checked not even five minutes ago, and the mask is currently fetching a price of... Drumroll please... 1 dollar. 1 freaking dollar. Although, this is from a Russian Bricklink store, and they have a minimum purchase of 900 dollars, so make of that what you will. Quote

The Bricklink price guide though states that $40 is the normal sale price. Quote

Just checked bricklink, the only store who sells that mask is that Russian store currently, which makes his price the new normal sale price. Quote
DraikNova Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 But considering the minimum order, I don't think that shop's price for a single item is really relevant. Quote
