Good find. I hope they get rid if Kai's scar once and for all.

From the sets picture, I also notice that the twins, with their hair pieces on instead if the hood, seem to be controlling the Iron Doom...

I think in hands of time, the twins are the leaders of the vermillion, because their shirts have the vermillion symbol on their chest, also, we know that the vermillion are made of a bunch of snakes and armor, but I also think their vehicles are made of a bunch of snakes and part. As for Kai and Nya's parent's, I think they were forced to make the vermillions weapons, armor, parts for vehicles and even the Iron Doom itself.

Just like I thought twins in Iron Doom set use those hairpieces . Still weird that one twin has old man hair, while other has younger look to him.

That actually makes sense. One twin is older as they were "lost in time". It is likely that one twin grew old in the present while another was trapped in the past.

I didn't expect Kai and Zane to get new faces. Hopefully they fix the thing where his mouth shows from the back of the headpiece. And maybe give Nya a new face too while they're at it.

Oh, seems like I missed the pic on the last page. From "The Vermillion Attack" set, I just assumed Kai's face hadn't changed, as he does seem to have the scar, but the Dragon Forge set indeed hints at a new face. Curious how that turns out.

I'm still confused: are those blades a new type of copper, or just Dark Orange with shades?

I could be wrong, but I think they are a trans orange.

Could be the same thing with Cole - in SB, he had a normal face in the smallest set, but got a newer, more accurate face for a larger set to increase set desirability.

Still going with my headcanon that one was lost and found by the other after a long time. Hairpieces support that. i kinda hoping there is an exclusive set or two or three...coming with this wave. as of right now, im skipping the smallest 2 sets becasue there characters are available else where.

you realize twins don't have to be identical they can be fraternal.  That Zane fig looks great.

I find it weird there is a port in the back of his head which isnt visable except for partially on the zane from the character pack and Echo Zane

Well it looks like his old body had one underneath his "face", while his new body's port is hidden by his hair (in the show). So I doubt it will be of any real use. 

It seems to be more of a mechanism like a cooling system, rather than a port. How would Zane plug something in, remove his hair? I know that won't happen in the show.

Nice that the new Zane's full torso and legs are Silver Metallic. On the original Titanium Zane those parts were all Medium Stone Grey (with Silver Metallic head, hood, arms, and shoulderpads to balance them out), but here that would look a little jarring since his head and hood would be the only remaining Silver Metallic parts. It seems like the new Nya will have more or less the same color scheme except with Dark Azur instead of White and Titanium Metallic instead of Silver Metallic.

The new prints for the back of Zane's torso and head are quite nice (the back of his head echoes the similar print for Echo Zane this year). The alternate face with PXL interface on the heads-up display is no longer there, but by now the old titanium head has been in enough sets that it shouldn't be a problem to interchange the heads if you want to use that face. Hopefully in the future there will continue to be allusions to Pixal in the sets (like the sticker in the Titanium Ninja Tumbler set) so it doesn't feel like she's been forgotten in the physical toys.

Zane's new asymmetrical smirk isn't an expression I'm used to seeing on him in the show, but it still feels very authentic.

While that is true, the gray-haired twin also has a receding hairline, which makes it seem like he is intended to look older rather than just having an unusual hair color.

True it could be the timeline theory some people have discussed on this forum.  It seems some people don't realize that you can have twins that don't look exactly alike.  It will be interesting to find out the story behind the figures.
