Celestial clock.

Overlord confirmed

But I don't want the horse to die.

Stop beating it.

Look I love the Overlord as much as the next guy, but I really hope that (for ONCE) he stays dead. Like many long lasting stories, we need to move on from older enemies who have spent their time. This way new and/or over-arching villains who are ominous (thank goodness for Pythor who has, mind you, only spent one season as a primary villain, as opposed to the Overlord's two) and refreshing to the eyes and ears.

We also need to stray away from anything to do with Snakes. It's getting old. Dragon warriors or Shogun please!

I'm not sure where all this Overlord returning talk is coming from, but it sure wasn't from Tommy Andreasen, who stated that you can't rule out the possibility of the Overlord returning, as well as any other dead dead dead dead character like Garmadon or Julien. None of them will be in Hands of Time, and I doubt they'll show up for a while. Tommy's also said many times that the Overlord is wary, given he was beaten badly during his two takeover events, and Ninjago needs something fresh and new.

As far as dragon warriors, yes, bring them on!

Where the Overlord talk comes from? Well:

Like Penkid and I pointed out already, those clocks on their bellies look curious.

They immediately reminded me, and gamejutzu as well, of the style of the clockface of the Celestial Clock: https://goo.gl/images/5AbCMP [/img]

However, it was just a joke, guys!

I'm pretty sure the " Overlord returning in HoT " rumor is fake. Although I hope he'll return, but it's not the time yet. Also, the source of that rumor has some... bad records, so I honestly doubt that he'll return next season.

Yeah, we were just joking, I don't even like the Overlord as much as most people here do.

Overlord isn't gonna come back in a very long time. He's alive, but he won't return. However, Tommy did state one or two times we can expect him to return in Ninjago's potential future. And I really don't wanna dig through tweets to show you all it, so please believe me on this.

But maybe the Vermillion have something to do with the Clock, or the Dark Island? Maybe dark matter? I don't know, but the Dark Island in general really hasn't done much. And it was stated this next wave will really dig into the lore, so we should be more open to more possibilities.

Wait a minute.

Is the reason one of the helmets has a trans red snake mold, because those are actual snakes protruding from the helmet?

That's so weird.

The reason why snakes are always around is because the snake theme was HUGE, I wanted a snake mech and never saw any of the sets in stores. It was insanity. So LEGO will keep snakes around in one way or another to keep the cow milking.

New set pictures out. http://www.hothbricks.com/2016/11/nouveautes-lego-ninjago-2017-visuels-officiels/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

They look pretty cool! I especially love the last one. The doorways look really cool! Also Cole and Zane having gray suits looks kinda neat!

Also if you look at the Dawn of the Iron Doom set, it comes with two extra hair pieces. One of them is Doctor Who's. Could one of the figures in the mask be the same guy from the DOD special? There's a nice, clear picture of him on LEGO.com

Sorry one last thing that I noticed. The logo in the bottom left of all the boxes is a clock. Is this season going to be about time travel? Because that would make sense why the Gold Samurai looks futuristic and why it is also called VXL (35). Just a thought..

Wow I love those sets! And Forge is so big 1100pcs, I didn't expect that! Looks highly detailed and Kai and Nya's parents look great!

Smaller sets seems to be remakes of previous sets like Jays bike and Vermilion invader, so I don't really like them, but Vermilion Inavader is must buy set since it has Zane! destinys  shadow is solid looking boat, Samurai VXL set looks great and that robot seems to be replacement for Samurai X.Iron Doom looks very intriguing and I can't wait for this set !

Overall im looking most forward to Iron Doom and Dragons Forge set!

Love those. All minifigs look awesome. The Vermilion Attack is my favourite - Kai with hairpiece, two different Vermilion warriors and the new mcguffin for a cheap price? Sold!

The minifigures look so nice, we get that helmet with trans-orange snakes too! If I don't get any big sets I'm definitely getting Vermilion Attack. The new snake piece looks pretty cool as well.

I like them. I'm going to stick to buying only playsets though... so I am so glad that the smallest and the biggest set is a playset.

On a side note, It's a pattern for TLG to distribute minifigures with and without armour ... and I don't like it. On the surface it can encourage buying every sets to complete the "unique" minifigures with and without armour but I think Ninjago collectors should be smart enough to notice that it is just a gimmick.

The Dawn of Iron Doom does look awesome.  I love the minifigs and the sets have excellent parts for mocing.  I also love that we get the uruk hai sword in a new color.
