greg3 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) Hi Here's a MOC I created of a Flyboard (a device which uses jets of water to allow a rider to fly, hover and perform tricks.) I've had the idea ever since watching one in operation near my local harbour last summer (it does look like great fun!!) but I've only recently found a combination of parts that seemed to work... The rider's feet are strapped to the board which in turn is connected to the propulsion system of a Jet Ski or other personal water craft (PWC) Untitled by g.nat, on Flickr Untitled by g.nat, on Flickr The PWC operator controls the amount of thrust the board produces. Untitled by g.nat, on Flickr The board can reach heights of up to 15m Untitled by g.nat, on Flickr Untitled by g.nat, on Flickr I think the design has worked out quite well... just need to find the "nozzle" part in black rather than grey (and the yellow "tooth" parts should be red) Anyway, thanks for looking... comments are always welcome Edited February 12, 2016 by greg3 Quote
Withacee Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Hey greg3, That looks really cool; I've seen these contraptions in action. Maybe changing the white to transparent clear of transparent light blue, or a combination of transparent colours would make it even more realistic? Keep clicking those bricks together. Quote
Graham Gidman Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 I really want to try one of those sometime... Nicely done! Quote
peedeejay Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 I second what Graham said. Sweet little build! Quote
KlodsBrik Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Nice posing and a great idea. Will look great in everyones city layout and is an easy build not taking up lots of bricks. Could easily be an official set if the "sport" was more well known. Quote
Bennemans Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Ah! What a nice little idea! So simple! Looks very faithful! Quote
BricksMcgee Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Love it. Nicely built, and just like the real thing Quote
