grum64 Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) Just came across this on the BBC News app. Just proves what I/we already know. LEGO changes lives. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-35549905 Edit. If the moderator feels this is better posted in a different forum please can you move it there. Thank you. darsedz Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 in my opinion it's a proper forum for this news :) ... and it will be interesting challenge for some next TC competition... something working with human body (like exoskeleton, robotic hand...) Quote
TinkerBrick Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 This was featured in one of the last BLOCKS issues. Great article and even greater concept. I really hope this will take off pretty soon. It could change life for thousands. Quote

nerdsforprez Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 This is very interesting to me as well. I think that Lego can actually serve in other, similar applications. I think of brain injuries in the military..... Any country. As a head trauma doc in the military I have introduced many to Technic. And they love it. Technic fits the bill of interest for many in the military because most are men and not only enjoy mechanical stuff but also have quite an aptitude for it. And in terms of benefit regarding rehabilitation technic is great. It is such a great exercise of visuo-spatial reasoning and both inductive and deductive reasoning. Quote
