Artanis I Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I forgot about this set! I was waiting for the May The 4th event to place an order, so it's not long now. Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Yeah, somebody should hold a contest... Quote
CM4Sci Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 Hmmm... too bad I don't have a Maze set. Maybe if you did it, it could just be 'make a map on a 32x32 baseplate" Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Hmmm... too bad I don't have a Maze set. Maybe if you did it, it could just be 'make a map on a 32x32 baseplate" I was thinking that, except that I believe in order to fit the frame of the set, the maze layout (the part you actually drop into or lift out of the frame) has to be 24x24. The set does use a 32x32 baseplate, but some of that is taken up by the outer and inner frames, the mechanism, etc. Anyway. I'll confess I've also been hoping there'd be a Eurobricks contest for maze designs. Quote
CM4Sci Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 Wait, so the actual inside map is 24x24? Ok, didn't know that - again, I don't own the set But yeah, a contest would be cool. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Check the in-depth review thread. This one? I don't see a contest there. Am I overlooking it somehow? Quote
CM4Sci Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 I think he meant for me to find out the base size - which is 24x24! Quote
Artanis I Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Yeah I meant for things like the base size and other details you wouldn't catch without having the set Quote
jonwil Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Ended up with this set as an exhibitor gift at the BrisBricks Strathpine event and finished putting it together earlier. Its not a set I would have purchased or was particularly keen on but now that I have it, I really like it. Some great parts in there too (the 8x16 plates in black in particular are going to be very useful to me). Its surprisingly fun to play with as well. Quote
