LuxorV Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 --- Theme song: Metallica - Of Wolf And Man --- I proudly announce the lastest creation in my Exo-Force Line: the WereWolf, aka LuxorV Special Unlike most of its predecessors, this model was created to link great power, high speeds and a most ferocius >:-) , still captivating, look. It comes with two new weapons: a blaster cannon and an energy Uzi-like machine-pistol These are not its only arms. E.g., the feet carry in-built anti-personal cannons While the hands are equipped with retractil claws The armour is nearly impenetrable by ordinary projectiles and explosives. On the other hand it is also very heavy. So, this BattleMachine has been provoded with a bigger core unit to supply enough power to support it. Leg thrusters will give it great sprint in battle. When needed, the shuttable shoulder-mounted boosters will add their effort, giving it an almost unmatchable speed. The egg-shaped close cockpit protects the pilot. It can be opened both partially... ...and totally, to grant confortable access. More pics here. I built this as an experiment for the shoulder-mounted cases, not knowing what to put in them (weapons, thrusters, ...), and the completely close cockpit. When it was almost finished, I realized it was likely to be my best Exo-Force MOC ever [along with the Hinckley Special :-P ], so I wanted to give it proper equipment, and elected it as my SigFig's personal BattleMachine (stealing GreenGoblin's suit to match the color scheme X-D ). Later on, since it is all orange and black, I decided to present it for Halloween *skull* . Your comments and advices are welcome, as always :-$ . LuxorV Quote

natelite Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 awesome job. i'm not sure about parts count but it doesn't seem to be materially more than the $15 sets. maybe slightly higher at $25?? but you sure showed TLC how it should be done. i always believe that a cheap set can be done right. if you add some smaller details to it and spec out the back, i think it is on par with kwi-chang's masterpieces. X-D edit: i saw how you did the cockpit. that's a fantastic job. thoroughly encased, with levers and controls. detailed yet sturdy. *y* TLC should take a page on cockpit construction from your book. *y* Quote

Wolvie ON :-P I agree with my archenemy iamded when I say that this is one fine mecha!It certaintly has that Halloween look, and a cool name to boot, and the design is incredible, the enclosed cockpit fits in excellently, and the blasters are both made well. I'd have to say LuxorV that this MOC is easily ahead of the Hinckley Special (no offense Hinck :-P ) and practically perfect! *wub* Good Job! And not to sound too cheesy, I think it's inspiring that you came here with the goal of becoming a better builder and you are certainly reaching that goal! I wish I knew more mech-talk to so I could better comment on this. But, I love the proportions, I really like the claws, I know the technique has been used previously, but it's applied very well here. As a new power source female canine :-$ I really like your thrusters and boosters. Of course, I appreciate the fully enclosed cockpit. Please keep them coming. Your mechs are beautiful! *wub* Quote

I like the way it opens up, it fits the mini-fig snugly, is sturdy and has controls! *y* *y* The only thing I don't like about this mech is, as Exo-Builder59 said, the rocket gun. Great work! *wub* The boosters are a nice touch and the cockpit is perfect. The only parts I don't like are the weapons; I think the Uzi is too simple, and the blaster has one of those annoying spring things. (Ignoring the spring thing thouhgh the blaster cannon looks cool!) I have one lame Exo-Force creation (that happens to also be orange!) that I might post soon before it falls into my sorting bin... Quote
