Interesting, but I must say 'So?'. It doesn't mean we'll see either of them (though we've already gotten the likely misnamed Nighthawk). The Star Wars games are full of characters that have been overlooked (most notably the many iterations of Padme).

Well, I'll admit it's much more likely they mean Nightwing but there technically is a DC character named Nighthawk. Still, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for him to be in a Batman game (unless there's an Old West stage . . . ).

I'm stoked for Man-Bat. In terms of a figure, I can easily picture a "Wolfman"-style molded head with brown bat wings attached via one of the neck bracket pieces in brown. However, Vader makes a good point about the figs that appear in-game not subsequently showing up in sets (Taun Tauns, TLC, do you hear me? Taun Tauns!)

I'll be surprised if NightHawk is in it, I expect they mean Nightwing. Manbat; yay! Looking forward to seeing in-game pics, I can't wait for this game! (Now that I've got a computer that can run it! :-P )

Nighthawk? LOL! In the comments section below this article there is entry from someone named rachel that sheds some light on this:

i was there, IGN misquoted him. basically jonathan smith was going through all the characters who would be in the game including robin, batgirl and nightwing, and then praised the calibre of gotham villainy that they could choose from to put in the game. he went through a short list including the joker, catwoman and twoface, and said they were putting in as many of the weird and wonderful ones as possible. some kid in the front shouted out "man-bat!" and he said 'yes, man-bat, that's how low we're going', indicating that even the most obscure and rubbish of the rogue's gallery might get an appearance. which, considering lego star wars: the complete saga's huge character list (about 160), seems pretty likely to actually happen.

Even if we never get a Man-bat in the 'ABS' it's still nice to know that the game will not be limited to just the ten villians that have been released so far (as earlier news had reported).

Technially you won't get Egghead or King Tut as they weren't actual Batman villains but creations of the campy 60's series with Adam West. ;-) The closest person to King Tut in the real Batman world is Maxie Zeus, a man who deludes himself into believing he is a god.

Anyway, we have confirmation that there are more Batman sets next year right? Because I don't think TLCwill drop it without ATLEAST Batgirl, Gordon, Harley Quinn and Ra's Al Ghul :'-)

Man-Bat is Dr Kirk Langstrom, who specialises in the study of bats. He experimented with a 'bat serum' to cure his own deafness. He (foolishly) tested it on himself (as all comic-book scientists seem to do), and transformed into a bat creature.

His Man-Bat serum was recently utilised by Talia Al Ghul to turn the League of Assassins into Ninja Man-Bats, having acquired it through the kidnap and ransom of Francine, Kirk's wife.

I'm definitely getting it. As long as there's a great cast of heroes and villains, and the same humour from LSW is kept up, then this'll be great. And there'd better be t-shirts available, like there are for LSW.
