JPN366 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Based on the AT-ST from the 8038 Battle Of Endor set. The pieces laying down are ones I couldn't seem to attach. I also couldn't get the top lid to close all the way. I intend to make this with actual pieces at some point. I welcome any comments, suggestions and criticisms. I'm definitely looking for any advice on how I can add LBG or gray pieces to break up the black and red. Or if I need to lessen the red pieces in general. Thanks! Quote

So far just a color change, I've only added the transparent red studs on the laser cannons. This is just the base starting point. I love the new TIE Fighter, so I wanted to do this vehicle in the same scheme. I definitely want to add things, probably to the exterior weapons and the inside. I think a primarily dark gray and black color scheme with tasteful horizontal red striping would look more appropriate. Also, the AT-ST should be evolved in some way. Quote

I'm definitely going to change the red leg, I honestly don't like it. But, I wanted to start with a full on half black, half red look as base starting point and scale back. I was thinking about doing the legs in black and LBG and switching out the red plate in the back for black. I might also switch out the red pieces attached to the bottom of the top lid as well as replace the some of the pieces on the red side of the head with multiple pieces to create the striping you were suggesting. I'm certainly going to upgrade the weapons on the sides and the front, maybe do some kind of rotating stud shooters or spring loaded shooters. Possibly copy the spring loaded shooters from the Hailfire Droid set. Edited February 3, 2016 by JPN366 Quote
