samiam391 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I recently ordered a large number of pieces as well as installed Adobe Photoshop. I gave both a shot yesterday by whipping up this build in a few hours and then using photoshop on it. Not the best, I have a lot to learn... but I'm pleased for a first try! mechamike Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Nice autumn feel! The creek water looks cold and I like the way the fence divide the scene , also some excellent figure posing. Quote
dzidek1983 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Nice scene. I like the minifig posing. What tools did you use in Photoshop? The picture looks kinda strange, like everything has a little gray outline. Quote
KlodsBrik Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I like this MOC. The colour scheme versus the colours of the minifigs is looking great. Also those trees are beautifull. Lovely ! Quote
hodberta Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I like the way the fence divide the scene Quote
Staslegomaster Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 An exellent historic presentation. If that is your first creation uploaded here - a successful one - I'm eager to see your future creations! The trees are super - a cool idea. Quote
LegoPercyJ Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 This look superb! The fallen leaves are a nice detail. Quote
kurigan Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 This is extremely well done. You've captured the action well. What with the shakos and forage caps, it does look a bit more 19th century though. Quote
Spader Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Nice work with the colors and the river. Not sure what I think of the americans.....they strike me as 90 some years off........ Quote
samiam391 Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Thanks for all the comments! For those discussing the minifigure choice... I actually have a very limited selection of "military" LEGO. The TLR minifigures are the only ones I currently have that can substitute as American Revolutionary War soldiers. I actually think they are a pretty good substitute, although I agree the uniforms are a bit "modern" for the time period. I'll see if I can improve that for my next MOC :) Quote
Blufiji Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 The color is amazing, and the action is good as well. Quote
