M_longer Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Sooo there is a set: Which I always wanted. Now I have my own version, built for contest held on LUGPol (about building old sets in style of new, liftarm based) Steering, bucket raising and dumping. That's all :) Works like this: Comparision with older version (click to enlarge) And I decided to make instructions for it:: Styled as old ones: Available for free HERE. Parts list on Rebrickable can be found HERE. Quote
syclone Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Cool rendition Will build it as soon as possible Quote
Erik Leppen Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 If you do an alternative model within a week, you could enter it for the current [TC9] competition. Quote

N-4K0 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Wow, and here I have been planning to make my own studless version of this set although I plan to build it exactly like the original, same placement of liftarms and stuff, just rebuilt studless. I feel quite nostalgic about this set, I used to have it once. Brings back the memories. Quote

First version was built exactly like old set, but it had some problems with lowering the arm (whole thing was starting to shake). Quote
N-4K0 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Did the original shake when the arms were lowered? I kinda recall such a thing, but I might be mistaken. Quote

Appie Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Aww memories. Great studless version of a little classic. Quote
AOW Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 No idea, but mine did :) it did too I have the "original" one and it shakes like Shakira .... ;) Quote
Thirdwigg Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 This is great. This seems to show how sets that seems midsized 20 years ago, seem to be smaller now. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Awesome!!! So this is what you have been doing lately... Quote
