RohanBeckett - looks like the fish can breath easy  as they can get there air pump back, That is a nice blower or compressor (strictly speaking, not a pump). Its a good idea to have the air storage tanks as well, helps to level out pressure fluctuations coming out of your air blower.

Ive seen some of those compressors on online, but all are featured as having a max pressure of 350 mmHg. Or roughly 6 psi. Lego needs 30~35 psi. I wonder if that pressure rating is for water.

Ok, so I dug out the pump I bought, and gave it a proper test...

for 6V.. it's actually very powerful! (that's a train/boat weight that it's lifting with ease, in the video!)

Thanks for the demo. That definitely works much better than my fish tank air pump. How is it at 5V? I run my GBC outdoors off a 12V SLA battery with a 12V to 9V converter. I'm wondering if a 12V to 5V USB converter may power it?

I ran it at a few lower voltages, and it still seemed to work OK.. but I'll test again tonight

was funny.. half hour after ceasing my test.. I went back to my test bench... flipped the valve lever... and it still rose up - slowly! there was still enough pressure in the system to lift the arm fully - in about 10 seconds.

I think ive found the answer, I just gotta find one of those pumps and a small converter. Thought about wiring one to a pf plug, but I like my motors to much.
