I am currently building a small 4wd rally car, but was wondering if it is ok to expose a little bit of the buggy motor to snow (up to the marked point).

I know the electronics are up high, but there might be some grease or metal parts in there that could be damaged by the water.

yes, it is possible, i had a couple of rc buggy motors on a boat with the bottom in the water and they are fine.

They even went some time under water when the boat sank. :)

I also used them in the snow ad they had no problem with it.

Lego motors are suprising resilient to the elements. I've gotten an IR receiver drenched in rainwater causing it to short out, but after a few hours of drying it was in working order. A few years ago I made an RC boat that capsized sending all of the pf elements into the water. After a few hours of drying, can you guess what happened? .... Yes, they were in working order. In conclusion, I wouldn't be even the slightest bit worried about snow.

If you can, try to cool down the model below the freezing point before bringing it outside. This will prevent the model from melting the snow and water getting on the parts. It will also make the model less likely to have snow stuck to it.
