Parts for hammer (of the new Dwarves mining set)

I have been admiring the new Dwarves mining set since I saw the officially released set. I haven't had a chance to purchase the lovely new thing yet, but I did notice a great looking hammer that is included. I was just curious if anyone could let me know what pieces are included in that hammer so I could fashion one of my own. I know most of the pieces easily, but there is one thing that puzzles me... how are the head connected to the shaft (i.e. what piece is used)?

I would really appreciate any help.
