STOP THIS ENDLESS WAR: The Vignette

Hi, again! :-| I'm a building machine! :-D

Anyway, my extreme dislike for the Iraq War has caused me to create this vignette. The idea of a giant missile/bomb falling on a soldier came in 8th grade, when I drew something very similar to this vig as the cover to a long report on WWII. This is, in my opinon, very artisitc, as it is not to be taken literally. Actually, the only part that shouldn't be taken literally is the fact the soldier is a skeleton. But he will be, unfortunately. Also, this vig is based on perspective. The correct angle (which I think I forgot to photograph :-$ ) is looking from the soldier up, so the plane apears to be small.

Again, don't take this too literally. I have the upmost respect for military members, both alive, and deceased. Anyway, here's the MOC page: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/39644

The pictures look a little washed out - is that deliberate? It's slightly hard to make out the details.

I like the forced perspective idea though.

Thanks ~ yes I washed out th pictures so that you can't see the transparent beams supporting the missile/plane. ;-)

Very artistic SirNadroj, using the great technique of a small object to make it appear far away.

I to have a strong dislike for this war, I won't get into a huge argument about it but I just want to say that instead of uniting the country it only made the situation worse.

I'm not afraid to talk about the war. There's nothing to be afraid of. This is a LEGO forum and I feel this is relevant. It uses LEGOs to express an opinion about world politics. LEGO isn't just a play toy but a form of artistic expression.

Views On Mass Killing (WAR)

1.) Theories and arguments by those in government will never argue the fact that "killing is not wonderful."

2.) Anyone that supports war nourishes violence within their own hearts, any war.

Here are the reasons for #2 You support war as the only option to solve a problem. It might sound insane to many people but you CAN solve problems without your family dying, your friend's family dying, and other people's family dying.

Those of you who disagree, I bet you have wonderful ideas about history and politics, some of you may even be PhDs, but can you look into your own hearts instead of simply looking in your mind that killing hurts?

I say we have other methods to solve situations. War is simply mass murder. I don't support any nation killing any other nation, I don't support anyone killing any other person, no matter the situation. I don't support any anger, resentment, hatred towards others and myself, I simply understand it.

I do support peace, I do support love, I do support play (GO LEGO), I will never support killing in any fashion no matter how wonderful the arguments. Those who believe otherwise, "God" if you believe in God, karma if you believe in buddhism, natural law if you don't believe in a religion will deal with your own subjective reasons for killing (WAR). If you want to find the best reasons to kill another person, you will find it. If you want to support killing, you will find reason to do so. I'm just glad there are TONS of people out there who will never ever in their life support hurting others no matter how wonderful the arguments are.

This MOC is magnificent. It uses LEGOs the way those in brick journal are interviewed; it's fun but also has such a deep meaning. To the designer for defending such a thing as peace. I gladfully bow to you in show of respect, admiration, and love. *wub*

Paul got booed 4 times, and no one else did! *maybe on account of his rusty-hinged-door voice :-P * It's still a well-put-together MOC, and certainley has the telling effect of a well written political cartoon! I applaud your work on the topic, although what I don't get is who has the plane? I haven't heard reports of US troops getting bombed for an age now. *wacko* Btw, Sir Dillon, the soldier is US. ;-) Plus, I hate to say it, but your sig is right. They know everything, and they only pick certain people to be in audiences, or as undecided voters in the room. It is all fake, and you shouldn't believe them. They are a bunch or neo-con #$%%$^$#'s! Seriously. You need to watch this about Frank Luntz, or as I call him, Frank Bluntz. He is insane:

Ron Paul fairly won the text poll, but FOX dosn't like them. The owner of fox is republican, but he actually donated to Hiliary so that if she wins, they can bad-mouth her. It is all PROPAGANDA and that's the TRUTH! You should do some resaerch on FOX news consperiacies. They use tactics to get the answers they want.

Guys, let's try and keep it somewhat to the MOC, okay? This isn't a political debate forum, nothing good comes from arguing politics, when nobody is willing to change their minds. Screaming at them won't help :-P

(I got rid of the political part, as not to debate. As much as I love debating! ;-) )
