Kevin W Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Hello together, After a longer construction break I have resolved to build a Moc. So this is my first Moc in this year. Maybe someone of you has the Episode 7 encyclopedia. In the register I have found a little picture of the villain speeder on Jakku. I liked it and then I decidet to build it. I hope you like it. :) Quote
kingodacheez Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 VERY nicely done, Kevin W.! I saw the Hasbro version of this in the stores, but really like the way it looks in minifig scale. Thanks for posting this! Quote
PaulPrime Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) I have not watched the movie yet nor I have that encyclopedia, but the speeder looks very nice. Excellent work! I love the effect of the flexible hoses, I have to bricklink some. Is the roof stable enough to hold the vehicle and swoosh it? Also, could you please place a minifigure inside to see how it fits? Graham Gidman Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Really, really nice work! The dark orange accent is just perfect. Quote
Junior Shark Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Love it! The forward vanes are my favorite part. I actually have a half-finished version of this at my Lego table.... you beat me to it! The visual dictionary is chock-full of cool stuff waiting to be MOCed. Keep up the good work! Quote
Cjd223 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I never spotted this in the movie, but it certainly looks really cool and a great design Quote
Kevin W Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Thanks for your feedback! Is the roof stable enough to hold the vehicle and swoosh it? Also, could you please place a minifigure inside to see how it fits? No, de roof is not so stable as it looks. I have not swooshed it yet, but I think this isn´t a really good idea. So the speeder is really unstable. And here is a photo with an minifigure. (Me for scale ;) ) I actually have a half-finished version of this at my Lego table.... you beat me to it! I had not expected that somebody would build this speeder because it´s really unknown. But I also would want to see your version. :) Edited January 13, 2016 by Kevin W Quote
