Piranha Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 (edited) It appears that I find it a better buy to get the UCS MF then spend 250USD on another less detailed version, however thanks anyway A Mod may close this thread or leave it open Thank you Piranha Edited October 21, 2007 by Piranha
Hewman Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Yup thats the set, okay so here's what I will give anyone who has it MISB -$50USD -A selection of SW figs -1 MISB Clone BattlePack PM me if you want to make a deal *sweet* Thanks Piranha I don't want to be rude but what you are offering appears massively below market rates. Perhaps yuo shuold have a look at bricklink to get a better idea what people will accept for this set.
Sir Dillon Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 While I know members like to help other members, what you are asking is way below all other prices... the lowest price on Bricklink for the complete set is $125, and that's used! MISB would be at least $195.
Siegfried Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Seriously, you need to raise your price. I would happily pay up to $100 USD for this set today if it was just complete without box or instructions... Why must it be MISB? To get an idea of what you need to be prepared to pay look here and here.
Piranha Posted October 21, 2007 Author Posted October 21, 2007 (edited) Hewman-long time no see, old friend ;-) How's the Classic Space been coming along since those days of BL forum topics? Sir Dillion-Thanks for the advice I know Ebay and BL are very high priced, thats why I am offering 5 EP2 Clone Troopers,2 Droidekas and a couple of stormies plus 50USD as well as a CBP Sinner-I love NEW things *wub* but used would be fine minus the BP and Droideka's Piranha Edited October 21, 2007 by Piranha
Mofo Jones Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I paid $140 US for a MISB one earlier this year and was pleased with my purchase. :)
Shadows Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I paid $140 US for a MISB one earlier this year and was pleased with my purchase. :) That was a good deal indeed. *y*
Hinckley Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 As long as we're at it I would like this set: MISB-no dust, no pricetags, no creases or shelf wear For trade I shall give you $5 and a Jar-jar binks mini-fig minus one hand. :-| :-| :-|

Don't some collectors think that tags increase the value? ;-) A friend of mine has that set and I keep hoping that he will sell it to me for some silly price. (Not likely; he recently bought the Death Star!) It is a true beauty.
jamtf Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 (edited) Well, let's see, the Battle Packs are quite abundant and still available in stores for $10 - $15. Add $50 in cash to that makes $65 max. The 5 EPII Clone Troopers makes about $50 at $10 each (for convenience reasons I used avg. BL prices but they can be found cheaper). That is another $50 and we are near $115 now. Those Driodeka's sell for $8 each on average (again on BL), so 2 are basically worth $16. The balance is at $131. The couple (how much is that, 2 maybe?) storm troopers makes an additional $12, so we finish the score at $143. 8- Edited October 21, 2007 by jamtf

Piranha, racial slurs won't stop me from thinking that what I said was-in fact-really funny. Sorry if you are really upset, though. I am just having fun. ;-)

Hinckley Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Yes. Don't get me wrong though; I agree with you. But I have never got the whole MISB thing anyway. :-D You are as much of a stalker as I am. Nice! *sweet* *y* That happened about five or six years ago. Perhaps someday I'll remove that link... But it still gets on my nerves a bit that my one negative feedback is from a psycho who isn't even registered anymore...
jamtf Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 $143 Huh?Darn thats too much I'd better lower it :-P Thanks for your info and you wouldn't happen to have one? :-D Yes, but not for sale unfortunately.. :-P

Hewman Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Hey Piranha Classic space is going well. I've made about 40 classic space sets in Blacktron 1 colours recently, some of these are up on brickshelf under my name. But back to the topic, I personally found the 4504 over-rated, it looks nice at the end but it has a tendency to fall apart and you can't really fly it around. I sold mine not long after I built it, It was a bit of a disappointment to be truthful. there isn't a lot of playability to it either, not a lot of cool functions and the figs from the set have now become pretty cheap. If you don't have an x-wing, use for $50 for one of those, now that's a well put together set with cool figs. Cheers matt

I tried to invite you in for cocoa but you ran off into the forest. It kind of hurt my feelings, but I figured it was just jetlag...
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 For a good set, the Falcon is finicky. The top plates keep falling off mine, and that authenticity factor was just short. Now, the UCS Falcon....that's a beauty.
