Lord Of Pies Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 He must really like your work if he wants to steal it! I would help you, however I am not MOCpages member. X-O I hope this thief is dealt with quickly. Stealing OFF! *n* Quote
Lasse D Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 mutley777. Don't expect to get a reply from MOCPages anytime soon. The crew is so busy that it rarely gets to reply. I have seen this kind of thing happen before, but that was on LEGO's own gallery sites where the "thief" probably thought a creation was so cool that he wanted to have it on his site as well (It was a 10030 alternate model). I would try to forgive him before jumping his throat just in case he is a young child ho doesn't know better. I would say your case is a little different though given that he actually uses your user name. It is a huge problem with MOCPages that there are all these very young "reviewers". Even those who give 5 stars will often leave an incoherent or good for nothing review. You see way too many hit and runs where the creator of the MOC is left with the trouble. I'm glad that you can delete many of the reviews now, but that doesn't solve the problem with the ratings. Good luck on your case. Quote
Cabby Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Naughty thief ! Left a message there, too. Build On, Mutley. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 (edited) Its a sad day when an mocist with no creativity of his/her own steals from another mocer. Keep petitioning mutley; we're behind you. EDIT: 100 posts in 5 days...man i have no life. Edited October 30, 2007 by Lt. Col. Thok Quote

While i can see your point the problem is not just restricted to one MOC but ALL my MOCs! Also he is claiming pictures of my whole collection that is on Brickshelf are his too!! Quote
El Bucanero Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Added comment!!! Pathetic thiefs.... Quote
iamded Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Things like this are outrageous. I still can't explain how mad this makes me feel, I just don't understand why people would do this. I'd hate it if this happened to me. I really hope MOCPages gets round to sorting this out soon. >:-( >:-( Thieves OFF! ~Peace Quote
john cleese Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Well my reply suggesting the guy was on narcotics didnt get through. :-$ Guess I'll go over there again. Quote

Opproperaar Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 And here I thought the LEGO websites were described as the friendliest places on the web. That AFOLs were the least aggressive people of all. Wel guess there are still jerks in any groups' ranks. Comment added *n* *n* bad thief *n* *n* Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Scaning the web last night i came across moc pages website (i had never been on it before) and there i found someone calling himself mutley 777. Looking through his pictures was a bit alarming as he had taken loads of my pictures from my brickshelf gallery and called them his own >:-( . I joined the site and left feedback for one of my MOCs calling him a thief! Any ideas what action i can take against him on the site? He does have a few pictures that are not mine but i would guess that they are not his either! Posted. Sorry for missing this. :-$ Still, your MOCs are a work of art and we all will always know who made them because he posted them first. *knight* This guy is probably just a low-life who wants to mess up other people's lives just for fun. >:-( *n* SHAME! Lasse D Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 It doesn't add up. Nowhere does the guy at Mocpages claim anything in another name than Mutley 777. It looks more as if someone thought so highly about your MOCs mutley that he wanted to set up the MOCpages for you. Just take a look at the home page: http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/5810 Are you sure you don't just have a very devoted fan who doesn't know how to ask you first before he (or she?) begins doing all this stuff? jifel Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 my bad... what do you mean? did you... >:-( jifel Quote

I don't think so. He/she also claimed a large Hoth battle that's not his, but isn't Mutley's. Also, he/she types horrendously, which tends to give Mutley a bad name. what do you mean?did you... >:-( jifel No, he posted something earlier without reading all of the thread, so he edited out the question. ;-) Quote
