The recent violations were made by both sides of the Mardier Civil War, which has nearly come to a close now. You should fear the wrath of the Great Old Empire, for her fleets can be turned on the weak Eslandolan fleet now. The Eslandolans have attacked a settlement that is fully settled by claiming a meager bay on the south side of the island? What happens when the Mardierians decide to take Nelisa? Stop your rabble rousing in Olean and prepare you own house for the reckoning to come. -Sid Vicinte, Mardier trader. Dear sir Vicinte, If you can show us an example of any Eslandolan ship who captured a Mardierian trader (except if it was in self defence). Then at least I am willing to talk about this situation. But I fear you won't, as it is your nation who has been preying on ships from Eslandola, Oleon and Corrington. it were your privateers who have been a plague to our fleet... So don't tell me to learn my history better as it is the propaganda from your King who makes you blind... kind regards, Lord Maximilian Damaximus Quote
SkaForHire Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Perhaps you, sir, should familiarize yourself with global politics a little more. During the Mardieran Civil War there were two sides, the side supported by the Garvian Monarchy freely plundered all nations, while the good king of Mardier's privateers were not permitted to do as much, unless these vessels were trading with the enemy. -Sid Vicinte Quote
Maxim I Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 But still the King of Mardier rewards the actions of the privateers as your most notorious privateer L'Olius became Admiral of Mardier in the Prio War. This captain alone is responsible of many losses of Oleon, Corrington and Eslandola vessels... Yours Truly, Lord Maximilian Damaximus Quote

Bregir Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 To his Majesty, King Philip, Sovereign of Oleon and New Oleon and affiliated colonies, Following the Eslandian claim to Your Throne, we have invoked a state of armed neutrality. We believe it our duty to inform you that while this is meant to dissuade the aggressor, such a neutrality will extend to pre-emptive on your part, as well as defensive measures, and we fully expect you to respect our position. Sir Stig Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Or cows? Is it allowed with video links? I hid it just in case. Spoiler Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 A blue cow rodeo... could that qualify as a commercial property or rather something cultural? I need to ask the Order of the Faith's position on this Quote
dr_spock Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Blue Rodeo is also a Canadian music band. I think that would fall under art and culture property as a rodeo is a type of entertainment, cowboy culture, etc. Art and Culture: These include music halls, artist galleries, temples, statues, etc. The MOC should clearly be relevant to art or culture. Oleanders pay 20% less for licensing and earn 20% more on yield for any Art and Culture property. Quote

Kolonialbeamter Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 All Hands on Deck! With the growing importance of Oleon's colonies the need for protection increases - and with it the need for ships, ships and ships. For this reason His Majesty has decided to personally fund the purchase of new and powerful vessels provided by the shipwrights of the realm. This is a call to build six ships-of-the-line to form La Royale's First Battle Squadron in New Terra. Three units of both 4th and 3rd rates are requested. Sign up to build one of them, and the Royal Navy will purchase the (unlicensed) MOC from you - each of the three 4th rates will be purchased for 125DB, and each of the three 3rd rates for 150DB! Additionally, participation in this program won't go unnoticed in regard to more prestigious rewards, and on top of this the design most pleasing His Majesty will be made flagship. All vessels will receive HRS status, and will proudly fly the ensign de la Première Escadre de Combat - ensuring Oleon's naval supremacy. Spoiler Version for print: This program will be open until all six units are signed up for. Please note that you can only sign up for one ship at a time, so you'll have to finish one first to be able to get another. Help and support will of course be provided along the way for all shipwrights, so if you're looking to increase your ship building skills, here's your chance 3rd rates: HRS ... by Franco Clarke HRS ... by Dukesc HRS ... by anonymous 4th rates: HRS ... by blackdeathgr HRS ... by Phred HRS ... Vive le Roi! Quote
Franco Clarke Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Would virtual (LDD) ships be eligible for this? I would like too help out, but I don't have the resources to build such a large ship in reality quite yet. Quote
Capt Wolf Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Interesting project. How will such large ships be used in the game? Or is this squadron just for show? Quote
Bregir Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 (edited) What is that I hear from afar? Is it the drums of war? Nah, probably just the trumpet of an arms race! Great idea, KB! Will be looking forward to seeing the outcome of this! (Although the thought of 6 Olean SOTL's does raise some concerns in the Admiralty... And of course, I am hoping to see these moc's in the Shipwrights Guild Hall as they progress, be they LDD or brick built. Edited November 18, 2016 by Bregir Quote

I hope we can have a fun building and learning experience with this program. 16 minutes ago, Capt Wolf said: How will such large ships be used in the game? That's for later to be decided. Maxim I Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 One can build hundreds ships, but only a few of them will be as legendary as Margot :p even without a single battle, she has managed to be in all books and guidances :D in 500 years, Margot still will be famous as the ship who started it all :D Quote
blackdeathgr Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 I am not sure i can successfully finish a 3rd rate, so sign me up for a 4th rate KB! It might take me a while but i think i can manage! Also, since the majority of the money needed for the ship to be built, will come as a donation from the rich merchant/citizens living in the three cities neighboring my estates at Granoleon, they withhold the right of naming this ship when finished! Sounds fair? Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 @blackdeathgr That's most generous of you and the local gentry Something tells me this won't go unnoticed The naming rights are all yours! Quote
