TFGuy89 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 No, but they do have a Masters program in art, design, and the interplay between what used to be solely art theory but now is used in other public discourse. Weird of them to have a whole graduate program dedicated to something so subjective though.... it's like maybe art and design have standards, rules, and philosophies that in order to be broken properly need to be understood properly?? I think for me is that even if it can and has been studied, there is still a great deal of subjectivity in art. In art history we can see how the various movements in history challenge the notion of what is really considered as good art. I mean, a neoclassical architect would disagree vehemently with a postmodernist architect, wouldn't they? We study art to understand what is considered good by the academia of our time, and as artists we then choose to experiment and pick and choose from what our professors taught us and maybe even start a counter movement. I believe there are standards in art, but it is also possible to find a break in those standards to be attractive, so you are right in that art theory has to be first properly understood to be broken. I just don't think any design can be totally devoid of any fans, and I think people just find it contentious when their personal preference is not only disregarded as personal taste, but be considered to be factually wrong. At least, I think that would be my contention. Quote
bidiminished Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 She's gangly in the legs and scrunched up in the shoulders, just overall an slightly unpleasant experience. While I am glad for the recolors provided, I feel like 5M Medium Azure shells would have been a great service here. as well as a revised shoulder design that not only avoids using Hordika necks but also widens her shoulders and gives that whole area room to breathe. How about trying a narrower version of Tahu's shoulder design? It would not only widen her shoulders but make them lower so her arms don't appear too short. Quote
CabooseBM Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) I did manage to improve her using her 2015 version, but I need more 2016 parts and sets to really make it work. Edited December 29, 2015 by CabooseBM Quote
