Yes, I know... Publishing a non-castle MOC is a serious sin during CCC. But I already started building this one, and had to finish it before anythong else. Another (castle) MOC is on its way :)

At first I was planning to build Victoria Street in Edinburgh with its colorful houses, but somehow I wasn't satisfied by the effect. After all, it's better to make one building well, than seven buildings that don't even look right.

So this one is largely inspired by this thing at Grassmarket: http://goo.gl/maps/i5sYqGRf9Z62

I put some minifigs' life inside - the ground floor houses a true Scottish pub (thanks for the 'Highlander' windows Lego, I couldn't dream of a better name!), the first floor is a school for musicians, and the second is just for living.

I walked that very stretch of road every day I was in Edinburgh a few years ago and I cannot wait to go back. Across the street are some of the best pubs I've been in with just ridiculous history to their names and buildings. But I digress - amazing build....looks incredible, so detailed and causes so much envy that I don't have those skills

Great build, the brickwork is excellent. I particularly like the way you have done the bricking around the windows on the second floor. The open back is great and I love the way you have made the sides open out for easy access.

Awesome! Love the interior details, especially the blackboard and bathroom, and how it opens up for playability. The brick work on the facade looks great too.

Well, I really like the façade on this one, (great relief, achieved by clever parts usage, even though everything is gray), but the interior details absolutely do it for me. Colours, details, the works.

What a lovely creation. Congratulations.

Keep clicking those bricks together.
