Toltomeja Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Yes, I know... Publishing a non-castle MOC is a serious sin during CCC. But I already started building this one, and had to finish it before anythong else. Another (castle) MOC is on its way :) At first I was planning to build Victoria Street in Edinburgh with its colorful houses, but somehow I wasn't satisfied by the effect. After all, it's better to make one building well, than seven buildings that don't even look right. So this one is largely inspired by this thing at Grassmarket: http://goo.gl/maps/i5sYqGRf9Z62 I put some minifigs' life inside - the ground floor houses a true Scottish pub (thanks for the 'Highlander' windows Lego, I couldn't dream of a better name!), the first floor is a school for musicians, and the second is just for living. LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Lovely style and amazing architecture! The bathroom looks perfect! Epic work! Quote
Brick Capone Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Beautiful! I'm speechless at it's beauty. GREAT work! Quote
ezaida18 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Oh wow.. beautiful and inspirational!! I wish I had the skills to build something like this. Quote
Palixa And The Bricks Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I love it You captured the style of the original buildings very well. The interior is just amazing! There's so much to discover. The colours fit together perfectly. I also like that you can take the floors out and open up the side walls. Quote
kjm161 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 It reminds me very much of Edinburgh. Great work on the inside and outside. I really like the double wall so there is colour inside. Quote
Chubbs Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I walked that very stretch of road every day I was in Edinburgh a few years ago and I cannot wait to go back. Across the street are some of the best pubs I've been in with just ridiculous history to their names and buildings. But I digress - amazing build....looks incredible, so detailed and causes so much envy that I don't have those skills Quote
eurotrash Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 It looks just like Edinburgh's architecture! Excellent build. Quote
TheBear Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Great build, the brickwork is excellent. I particularly like the way you have done the bricking around the windows on the second floor. The open back is great and I love the way you have made the sides open out for easy access. Quote
carebear Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Great work!!! Love the Pillows This build gives me a lot of ideas for my new build Greetings Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Looks great, quite close to the real-life version. Quote
Kristel Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Awesome! Love the interior details, especially the blackboard and bathroom, and how it opens up for playability. The brick work on the facade looks great too. Quote
Withacee Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Well, I really like the façade on this one, (great relief, achieved by clever parts usage, even though everything is gray), but the interior details absolutely do it for me. Colours, details, the works. What a lovely creation. Congratulations. Keep clicking those bricks together. Quote
Hobbythom Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 This is an amazing build. The façade is textured in a very realistic way. The interior is great too. Awesome job! Quote
BrickMark-I Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 details are sublime! the roof is perfect! beautiful house :-) Quote
