ED-209 Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Has anyone else been watching the new Marvel/Netflix show Jessica Jones? She's a former costumed super hero turned private investigator (and alcoholic!) Figured she deserved the Lego figure treatment, but haven't decided on the hair yet. I'm leaning towards 95225 in black but am open to any suggestions: And even though he's officially appeared (in his comic book incarnation) in set 76016, here's Luke Cage based on his Henley-shirt-loving appearance on the show: As always any feedback is most welcome! Wardancer Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) Nice. I think her lips should be redder though. The whole femme fatale looks need red lips, pale skin and black hair. Maybe she could be paler as well. Edited November 26, 2015 by Wardancer Quote
gedren_y Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I confess, I binge watched the first day. Her lips in the show are a very deep magenta, which should make the light flesh color seem paler by comparison. The hair looks right, but the eye dots should be off-center to give her that PTSD paranoia look. The scarf is done nicely, though. Quote
ED-209 Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 Thanks guys! Good observation about the lipstick. Here's a darker version: Gedren, I tried off centre reflections in her eyes, but moving them in sync (ie: both up and to the left) didn't really make her expression look any different. Moving them either both outwards or inwards made her look like she'd just taken a sharp blow to the head! Do you have any examples of the look you're describing? I can't explain it, but I have an overwhelming need to post a design for Kilgrave too: Quote
Wardancer Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) On the backside you could make a face with the red wounds she got in that one episode:http://i.perezhilton.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/krysten-ritter-looks-can-kill__oPt.jpg Edited November 28, 2015 by Wardancer Quote
ED-209 Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 Can you make the lips fuller? Yes I can! On the backside you could make a face with the red wounds she got in that one episode:http://i.perezhilton.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/krysten-ritter-looks-can-kill__oPt.jpg Great idea! Why didn't I think of that?! Quote
Jbricks Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 These all look great! If I may ask, could you post the Kilgrave face without the hair? Quote
BS2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 On the killgrave the jacket should be a little bit darker purple and print on the legs with brown boots :D Quote
ED-209 Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 These all look great! If I may ask, could you post the Kilgrave face without the hair? Yeah that would be no problem at all, I'll try to get it online tomorrow! On the killgrave the jacket should be a little bit darker purple and print on the legs with brown boots :D I agree his costume is darker in the show, but this is the most accurate shade of purple from Lego's palette. So, if Lego were to make a minifig of Kilgrave (which they'd never do, I'm sure!) this is probably the colour that they'd use - if that makes sense to you? (I think I just confused myself there...) BS2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Could you post the killgrave but without the purple on the torso,so just his shirt underneath? If that's possible thanks:D Quote
Keter Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 How do you think, what original lego items could be use for charecters from JJ series? I think that Killgrave could use new Doctor's purple suit, but it is not perfect for him. What could be better? Quote
Wardancer Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 The fuller lips look good. Maybe the bruises could be stronger as well. Quote
ED-209 Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 As promised, Kilgrave's face with no hair: Could you post the killgrave but without the purple on the torso,so just his shirt underneath? If that's possible thanks:D Yes, you mean a dark blue torso with just his shirt? (No waistcoat?) How do you think, what original lego items could be use for charecters from JJ series? I think that Killgrave could use new Doctor's purple suit, but it is not perfect for him. What could be better? I don't really know, I just design my own! But I do think you're right. If you were after a purist version The Doctor's purple suit would be good, or possibly even the Heath Ledger Joker suit if you changed the hands: Add the dark brown hair and one of these stubbled heads and you'd be good: http://www.bricklink...p?P=3626cpb0946 http://www.bricklink...p?P=3626bpb0415 http://www.bricklink...p?P=3626bpb0419 The fuller lips look good. Maybe the bruises could be stronger as well. Thanks! I prefer them too. I was thinking of making the wounds look more "cartoony" like on the CMF Dino Tracker. What do you think of that idea? https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2948/15328916780_a0cf963428_b.jpg Quote
BS2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I'm using a skinny Kyle head for my killgrave and for Jessica I'm using Sabine wrens head with painted darker lips :D I'm unsure what hair to use for killgrave though I'm thinking about one of the area light hero hair or the Lego obi wan hair in dark brown Yeah the dark blue teal ish torso without the waistcoat thanks :) Quote
gamejutzu Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Kept thinking of this, We need Joker to use Dr. Who's hair piece in green. Oh, and I guess that's cool. So, you already have physical decals or something? What's it like as a minifigure? Quote
