shunlabs Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Hi fellow AFOLs, this is shunlabs from Belgium. *sweet* An avid anonymous reader of EB for quite a while, I decided to step out of the shadows and make my modest contributions to this grrrreat forum whenever possible. :-$ I've been assembling our beloved little colored ABS bricks for almost 30 years now (first sets : Homemaker 231, Fabuland 137, castle 375, space 928, technic 8846, talk about golden age !), with dark ages around 1995-2003 or so. My natural favs are technic and space but castle and SW are never far on my wanted list. *wub* I also enjoyed the Orient expedition / ninja themes very much (too bad they didn't stay for very long...) and the EF line is also very appealing to me (manga+mecha ? Yatta !! :-D ), so is the Creator/Designer familly. *y* My only concern with Lego is that ... you never get enough of it 8- Quote
Siegfried Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Welcome to Eurobricks! Another Belgium! *sweet* I warn you, they will all start appearing soon. I fear they are planning on renaming this place Belbricks... *sing* (I need a larger house too! :-P ) Quote
Asuka Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Hello and welcome to our little high tech laboratory! *y* Quote
Shadows Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Welcome! It's good to have another senior member around here to help keep those kids in line *y* Never had a homemaker set, but as I get older, for some odd reason they look more and more appealing. I think it's just a desire to make furniture and develop my real world building skills instead of always focusing on fantasy. As for space, personally I just plan to move into Hinckley39's basement when he isn't looking, but don't tell him I said that ... ;-) Quote
Vader Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Wow this must be the day for new members X-D , welcome to EB. :-) Quote

andy_0306uk Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Welcome to Eurobricks I too started enjoying Lego about 30 years ago but it only lasted 7 years, then a dark dark 20ish years, and then re-enlightenment and enjoyment again from about 3ish years ago. Spybotics brought me initially back out and then Orient Expedition, Harry Potter and city totally resurrected my interest. The OE Scorpian Palace is still eluding me though Enjoy the fun of the forums Quote
Opproperaar Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Hey, they must somewhere to go when they maybe stop with Belgium X-D Hello and welcome on eurobricks :-) Poor Belgium, damn the Walloons and damn the Flemish extremists even more! ... But we aren't discussing politics here. :-/ The day it's bad to have another Belgian join our ranks will be the day pink elephants and flying pigs construct gingerbread houses along Lolly-Pop Lane. shunlabs Posted October 15, 2007 Author Posted October 15, 2007 (edited) Thank you so much guys for the warm welcome !! *sweet* Yup, Belgium's current situation is kind of weird *wacko* Not the proudest aspect of our tiny piece of land... I'll try to drop by as frequently as possible, but since i'm into house renovation up to my ears for the moment :-P , it might sometimes take days before I answer. So bear with me ;-) konnichiwa!another japanese speaking EB member?? too nice! welcome!! irashaimase! :-D oh and tell me: you said you like the ninja / samurai line.. but they were in your dark ages... so did you get them all in the past years? ( I find it quite hard to get them misb..... ) :-) Oayoo Gozaimasu, zzz !!! Well, I'm not really speaking Japanese, unfortunatelly. Difficult to yield good results with self-study only (at least for me) *sing* But I guess you could say I'm fond of its culture *wub* , that's why ninja / orient exp and even Exo are a goldmine to me. Very true, most of them were released during my dark ages. I wish I only paid a visit to a toy shop during these years :'-( So your assumptions are also very true : I had to find them in the past years, which is not exactly a piece of cake :-| The ninja sets were only pictured in the Belgian Lego catalog for 1 year, if recall correct, with a quite limited range if you compare to what's listed on peeron. I found some of them (Flying Ninja Fortress, Stone Tower Bridge, Samurai Stronghold, Treasure Transport, Ninja Surprise) MIB (no MISB), or just the hard way : from original plans + brickling shopping for missing special pieces (costly...) There's still a long way to go *sad* Yosssshh !! :-P Orient Expedition : these having been released a bit later, I could find some of them much easier ( I think the Dragon Fortress is still selling at a local store, if someone's interested). But there again, the search is far from completion, so I'm still spotting good deals here and there *vader* What about your sets ? How did you get them ? Ninja on ! *y* Edited October 15, 2007 by shunlabs Quote
