Matrix2507 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 So im coming from LDD, so using MLCad is very disorienting (much more primitive and unoptimized workspace compared to LDD imo) so i dont really need the extra issues. But i do. Look at this : http://i.imgur.com/X0sJZlh.png The toolbars are all stacked up instead of being spread out along the window, this is wasting a huge amount of space (and also messing with my OCD a little) Been fiddling for an hour trying to fix this in whichever way i can but im not getting any result :( help Quote
Darats Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Normally you can drag them to put them anywhere you want. You should also try LDCAD which looks more like LDD. Quote

Anything that looks more like LDD will be welcomed, i wanted a better program for making lego and all im finding is a huge compromise between pieces variety versus ease of use :/ Are there any LDraw based program that has the feature of letting me snap pieces together and change theire angle easily ? Sure, as @Darats already wrote, try LDCad. It could be little bit frustrating at the beginning (I struggled a lot coming from SR3D Builder), but it is worth it and also @roland, the creator of LDCad is always pretty quick with support, when you have some problems or questions. Matrix2507 Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 bump real quick, anyone knows how to change by how much unit a piece move ? the default is 10 units and thats too coarse for me, i want finer control over the peices but i cant figure out how to change it Quote
Classicsmiley Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 That's the default amount for the "coarse" grid setting. Try the medium or fine grid, and see if that's more to your liking. For additional information about MLcad, check out this site: http://www.holly-wood.it/mlcad/basic5-en.html Quote

I was still thinking about the title of this thread. oh, i forgot myself.... derp xP you wouldnt know how to select multiple parts together in LDCad by any chances ? like drag selection or like LDDs "part-that-touch-themselves" sort of selection ? ive only found very wide ranged selection options in LDCad like part or color, nothing more precise Quote
