Hello,

I would like to present to you my second Modular building that I did in April this year. I wanted to present it with building instructions, that's why it took me so long to show it here.

The building instructions are available for free at Rebrickable: http://rebrickable.c...lar-flower-shop

The flower shop is located at the ground floor with small area for customers and behind the counter the shop keepers place. The entrance to the building is from the front for the customers and there is also back door for the owner.

The owner's apartment is on the first floor - it is one big room, just as the ground floor. Then, there is removable roof.

The instructions differ slightly to what's shown on the pictures as I didn't have all the right bricks at the time of building. The details changed are pavement colour to match official modulars, some gutter reinforcement and carpet on the first floor is now one plate higher.

So.. here goes picture, I hope you'll like it :)

First, my modular in all its glory ;)

Here are all three modules together:

and here's how it looks like with my first modular - the Ice Cream Parlor (http://www.eurobrick...opic=111129&hl=)

Reminds me of a river-side district, where the buildings always have that industrial, tankish, but natural feel to them. And it doesn't resemble the million modular streets out there; it definitely has its own feel, its own character.

I love the dark-blue and purple rug.

Thank you all for your kind words :) I'm really happy it stands out from other modulars.

Unfortunately those two buildings are already taken apart to allow me for more modular MOCing :) so this street won't continue (at least for now, until I have much more bricks to use)

The bench is my favourite detail, although it seems more suitable for slightly larger than minifig scale. The building is nicely done, I like the large windows showing off all the different flowers inside. The roof is too low for my taste, but I'm guessing your stock of those dark red slopes was limited. All in all, it's a nice place to look at. :-)

Interesting build for sure. I will agree, it does have its own feel compared to standard Modulars. But overall should fit in on a street (although the height is a bit lower than expected). But no matter.

Surprisingly the sand green/nougat masonry brick work fairly well together, but under normal circumstances I don't think I would build in that style. I do like the awning above the windows, as simple as it is.

The bench is a great detail, but I agree, it does feel a bit big compared to typical wooden LEGO benches. But it looks great.

Even though it is dismantled already, I think I would have built the stairs a little more hidden considering the layout of the shop. Some random customer could walk up into his apartment...yikes!

Keep up the good work otherwise.

Nice! The combination of brick types and colours is not what I would have thought to put together, but they work really well. I also like the bench and the large shop windows, which really show off all the flowers inside.

Thank you all for comments.

TheLegoDr - you are right about the stairs, but that would be changed only if rebuilt :)

The hight is limited by my bricks (same goes for the roof) and for that building I didn't want to have ground floor in different colour than upper floors. Maybe next time :) (I got a bit more of sand green)

And the bench - too big, now I see it.

I didn't want to copy any of several benches from my previous builds, that's why I was after something different.

Very nice, and thanks for the instructions.

Do you happen to have a parts list as well? Or maybe an LDD file?

Found you can get the parts list thru rebrickable..

Thank you :)

Yes, it's all there. You can export it to several different formats too.
