Optikal Illushun Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Got some free time and finished (to a point) my 7991 moc. in this pics u can see i moved the container up to the cab, lenghtened the it by 1 stud and added dual rear axles. also i made the container lower by a few studs and added the reverse angle piece to the front of the rear axle. in this pic u can see the mild mods to the interior. i also changed the way the roof is help up for a little more sleek look. here u can see my version of a heavy truck mirror. it is held onto the roof. and here are two other angles to show the full lenght and mods. Siegfried Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I like the mod, except for the 1x1 window piece at door level. I can't think what that is supposed to be. Is it structual? Quote
Optikal Illushun Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 i wanted to add doors but i ran out LOL. so i left those pieces as is. Quote
Optikal Illushun Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 i just realized i did add a door to the opposite side, hmm...i need to take a few more pictures now. gotta remember to take it off, as one of my other cars now has only one door. Quote
Asuka Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Very fine MODs indeed, especially these mirrors.... *sweet* Quote
Optikal Illushun Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 Thanx, i tried a lot of different mirror styles and this one was the easiest to make and IMO best looking as well. i went to school for automotive and diesel tech. so i had a lot of time to study the dimensions of bigger trucks. im still not all happy about the rear of the compactor, where the trash cans are placed. oh well, definatly better then what Lego originally offered us.
