oo7 Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 (edited) I remember this one floating around the front page of Brickshelf for days as a recent addition when the uploading function became defunct. Well, we have a large layout, with both Fort Legoredo and Harry Potter's Graveyard Duel in the background and many of beautiful MOCs in between. There's a lovely barn, train station, train, and water tower. Also a little ranch: A neat residential area: And the church in the town square. The two galleries can be found here and here. Mr. Moulders also is displaying some custom ponchos and covered wagons you can view if you click "Up". Edited October 9, 2007 by oo7 Quote
babyjawa Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 That thing is amazing! It is so large, yet so detailed. *y* The train is a nice addition. That one building looks sort of out of place, as it looks to nice to be western. ;-) I never really got into western that much, as I never got many sets of that genre... I'd love to be able to build something like this though... Quote
Brick Miner Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 (edited) hey 007... i remember seeing this for the first time a couple days ago (might have been yesterday, actually). in any case, this one is pretty new to BS *y* i really like this set up, there is some great architecture in there. my favorite thing is probably the different varying combinations of basic WW architecture featured. my favorite (and what i love) is the red/white building toward the back (probably a single family house or court house ???). the builder uses the ornamental white arches that i used on LEGOREDO STATION, and applies them perfectly. what i don't like are the train and train crossing. i don't like the modern train crossing sign just before the tracks, and i don't the like modern train cars, like the hopper wagon. - BM Edited October 9, 2007 by Brick Miner Quote
Athos Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 I like the farm and the residential houses. If I was still working on my western town (and hadn't cannibalized it for parts) I would have to copy some of these designs. Steve Quote

Yes, the red and white one is very nice, but I think it needs some more white railings on the balcony. :-P I missed those small red and white crossing signs, I do think those should be removed. However, I'm having trouble determining how anachronistic those train cars actually are. The hopper (being the tan one), doesn't look all that modern to me aside from the precisely fashioned color coordination. Quote
Asuka Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 An impressive layout, very nice! *y* I especially like that lovely farm and these styled houses! *wub* Quote
Brick Miner Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Yes, the red and white one is very nice, but I think it needs some more white railings on the balcony. :-Pya, i wonder if he ment it to look like that... it does seem incomplete.i wish we got to see more of this stage coach... it actually looks pretty good. and i havn't seen a coach im completely sold on yet... i'd like to see what he did. - BM Quote
ZeekyBoogeyDoog Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Big layouts are are my favorite things to look at. There are so many great buildings here; my favorites are the saloon, the ranch house and the plantation houses. Quote
Norro Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Very nice looking! Thanks for bringing this to my attention! God Bless, Nathan Quote
Lamanda2 Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 This is a very well designed layout. Everything ties together very nicely. I like the indian laying down in the yard of that one home. ~Amanda Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 That's a very nice WW town - i wished I would have one like this, too! I especially like the civil parts like the nice farm with the fields, the carriages, the town people, the apartment houses and the train station. The telegraph poles, the many feedlots and the planting vegetation give the whole town a realistic look. Very, very nice! Quote
casewindu Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 I can't believe I missed this oo7 It is very nice and well created! I really like the corn plantation you have produced and the train layout (I still need to find a way to get a train into my layout!) Some of those Brickforge sheep pigs and cows would go very nice here! I feel sorry for the poor guy getting hung though maybe his friends will come and save him! ;-) Quote
Matn Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 (edited) This is one nice Western town! I like everything in that town. It gives me a real Western feeling. The church and houses, it is all worked out very well! I'm gonna try this (in a smaller version), because I buyed three Western sets a few week ago and now I'm waiting on the box with the mail. (There were also SW figures in, two SW sets and three Paradisia sets for my sister) Edited October 20, 2007 by Matn Quote
