An Apology to the Eurobricks Community

I will try as hard as I can to express the remorse I have for my actions in the past years that I have been a member here. I have done many unspeakable things while being a member here, such as flame another person's creation, borrow another person's design and not give due credit, and in general being an megablocks.

I say to all of you, not only those who I have wronged, but everyone, because if I hurt one person, it hurts the whole community, as we are a family. I apologize to those whose creations I have cast aside as being "unworthy", even though all creations are worthy and should be given proper care to. I apologize to anyone who I have mocked. I apologize to the Admins, who have had to put up with my childish antics for some time now. And last but not least, I apologize to all the members as a whole, for just not being the good member I should be. For instance, I may think that I am "all that" because I have a way with building well and have some good designs. But that is not being a good member, being a good member is helping other members, posting news, and having a good additude in general. If there is anyone else who I have wronged in the past, please come forth in this topic or through PM, MSN, or AIM (if privacy is an issue) so that I may apologize to you directly.

If you want me to put it simply, I am sorry.

Yeah, so you can be a megablock at times, but most of us are at one time or another. Overall I think you're a good member (and one heck of a builder ;-)), so hopefully you'll be able to stick around.

I agree. I haven't been insulted either, but it's great to see that you're going to the trouble of apologising. A few members I've seen on another forum either just leave or forget about it. :-/

Chuck, I hope I speak for the forum when I say apology accepted. I've seen you mature both in terms of manners and building (and considering you're still one of the younger ones you still have a long time to improve further) and I can happily say you've become a good member (at least to me).

actually, i think it is for you to decided... we all decided how we act, and have to accept the consiquences of those choices. i'd say you're on the path to being a very respected member of the AFOL community. so, it seems you are choosing the right path, and if so, you will be accepted here on EB whenever you chose to visit *sweet*

Maybe we started with a somewhat harsh discussion on the "What about LEGO Halo" tread, but that was two-ways :-$ . Then I think we came to know more each other, and I find you are a nice guy (when you control your temper ;-) ) and an ace builder. So I'm glad I know you and I hope to see your creations again here on EB, and to get some advices from you, too.

As for the apology, I don't think you need to apologize to me directly, but, as EB member, of course I accept it :-$ .

You know, to recognize your mistakes is a sign you've started improving ;-) .

Personally, I haven't even talked to you since I registered, so I don't hold a grudge against you and I don't think you're a bad person.

Since we have had several discussions in the past that border on being debates I'd just like to say that I have never been personally offended by you. While we don't always agree I do think you do add to this site, especially with your MOCs as you are one of those builders who like building in ways that annoy me! :-D

Hopefully we all can get on better in the future and focus on what is important... Lego! :-P

Allow me to explain: He basically writes responses to other people on EB when they make MOCs and write threads about them, and he pretty much trashes them because they don't look like what he would have made them into. Of course, no one else trashes his MOCs when he makes threads for them, so this is basically just, well, I don't really know. I don't MOC, so I haven't come under his reign of terror so I wouldn't know. I really don't know why he does it; no one ever insulted one of his works. So I say this to him: Live and let live. You MOCs are still alive, but you kill other MOCs. That's against the figure of speech which is why I never understood you. So apologize ON! *y*

Ah, well I do think that being harsh on someone just cause you wouldn't have built it the way he/she did is a dumb reason, but sometimes (and I have to confess guilty myself here) I'm feeling a bit of insincere friendlinnes towards people with really crappy MOCs and people still give them compliments.

Everyone to his own likeness, but for me even the crapiest MOC is, somehow, an expression

of interest in a very nice and creative hobby and I can easily give some respect to it.... :-D

I have had a run in with Mr. Chuck. While he's trashed my MOC once or twice (which I am as good a buildier as he is, we just have different styles) I have been personally offended. Does that makes sense, I'm not sure. 8-|

Chuck, when people spend a lot of time on something, and a lot of money also (I've spent hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on bulk peices) it doesn't feel good at all. |-/

I disagree. I respect people, I like people. That doesn't necessarily mean I will (or oblige me too) respect their MOC.

Example, I respect a 7 year old kid, He or she has a lot of potential, a lot of talent, etc. But when I see a MOC I may not care for it (regardless of time/money spent). I won't be rude (I hope I never have been), but while encouraging them I still don't have to respect the MOC...
