Puvel Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Wanted to build something with dense vegetation so my village ended up having a little garden in front of its gate. Puvel: 'I knew planting these would pay off at some point! They don’t flower very often, but when they do… It’s glorious, isn’t it?' by Puvel The Hurn, on Flickr Edited November 9, 2015 by Puvel Quote
Spader Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Nice little build here. I like the way you detailed the path. Keep it up! Quote
Gunman Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 That horns at the gate look great man..The small fig is Awesome too! :) Quote
Garmadon Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Excellent build Puvel, very nice garden, and that fence and gate are really neat! Great job with the ground texturing as well, and I'm liking that clean border! Quote
mrcp6d Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 The slight angle on the fence works very well. Quote
Puvel Posted November 10, 2015 Author Posted November 10, 2015 Nice little build here. I like the way you detailed the path. Keep it up! Thanks! Paths are fun to make, working on a snow one now. Cool gate, Nice vegetation! Thanks! Practicing vegetation was part of my goal here so glad to know it looks good Good vegetation and woodwork! Thanks! Tried to avoid having it look just like a big brown wall. That horns at the gate look great man..The small fig is Awesome too! :) Thanks! Doubted for a while between white and grey horns but figured grey ones would be of an older beast and that’s more impressive That foliage is really neat! Keep it up! Thanks! Happy the foliage is appreciated Nice, I like the border Thanks! Made it just with masonry bricks at first, glad I changed that. Excellent build Puvel, very nice garden, and that fence and gate are really neat! Great job with the ground texturing as well, and I'm liking that clean border! Compliments on everything so, thanks! The slight angle on the fence works very well. Hehe thanks! Wanted to fix that when I first noticed it but then I thought it’s a only little gate for a small fence so it’s actually better that way. soccerkid6 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I like how you showed a path intersection, rather than just a standard path Good start to the gatehouse phases Quote
Puvel Posted November 10, 2015 Author Posted November 10, 2015 Thanks! My fence phase had someone patrolling it so the gate needed the intersection Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I like that this is continuation of your previous wall! Nice build, as SK said, I also like the path intersection. Quote
LittleJohn Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Very nice little build, Puvel! The vegetation is superb, and I really like how you did the gates Quote
Bregir Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I'll echo the comments of those before me - great phase one gate! :) My only suggestion is regarding the printed tiles. They don't stick out too much, but with all other textures brick built, I would suggest to find another way to give the gate some character. Otherwise, I love it, and those horns are a great addition. Nice to see an alternative to the great city walls we often see in Historica. :) Quote
