crutchlow Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) Here is my modular pub, Design is based on the ship anson pub in portsmouth. The roof does overhang a little so works best when placed next to shorter buildings such as the detective office, however if the outer edge of the roof is removed then it can be placed next to taller buildings. I was going to think of an original name for the pub, but if the grand emporium can be called "shop" and the pet shop called "pets" then i think a pub named "pub" works for me. No interior at the moment, I'll work on this next. Exterior view Rear view with roof opened up. Ground floor 2nd floor showing window Photo of actual building. KlodsBrik Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 It looks absolutely gorgeous on the outside. A really great combination of bricks for textures. Quote
tedbeard Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Looks really nice an cozy. I like the lettering but for some reason the thing I want to copy is your roof. Love the way it hinges open. :) Quote
Withacee Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Yes, the overhanging roof is a thing for modular purists like me, but I definitely like this build. It really has that Tudor feel to it. Well done! Looking forward to seeing an interior. Keep clicking those bricks together! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Very well done. I like the timber Tudor style. Very effective here. But most of all I like the nougat and dark green combination. I've been meaning to do a modular with those colors. They work really well together and they do not disappoint here. The roof is a neat feature, but I agree on it bothering the purist in me. Quote
Venunder Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Very good work. It gives me some ideas for my own wood and plaster style buildings. Quote
BricksMcgee Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Looks great - very typically British looking! :) Quote
Kristel Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Nice! I like how you have the done the tudor facade and the little rocket piece for the table is perfect. Quote
Miro78 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Looks very nice. I really like the use of the turntable bases for added texture. I wonder if using dark green windows would at all help, or would that be too much dark green? Looks lovely either way. Miro Quote

crutchlow Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 Here is the LDD file. http://www.crutchlow.co.uk/lego/modularpub-interior.zip Only difference really is the antenna base clipped onto the pumps and the lettering on the arcade machine. Quote
