I have put together som different legoparts to construct alternative lightsabers, I will add some picture later today and wonder if someone can help me with some further ideas for good parts to use, I gonna make an order on bricklink in the next few days, so to get some advice on parts for cool constructions would be appreciated =)

I'm guessing that you mean just regular minifigure scale lightsabers. Well, you have the regular hilt in chrome silver, mettalic silver and grey, as well as gold, white, dark grey and black. Count Dooku, Ventress and the Inquisitor have special hilts too, and Kylo Ren from the new movie might also but I can't remember. On top of this, there are the two BrickForge hilts which I am pritty sure are Darth Vaders and Lukes second hilt. Ninjago introduced a slightly different lightsaber hilt with studs pointing outwards on one end which could look cool even if lego never used it as an actual hilt for a lightsaber, and the same goes for the telescope piece and even the carrot.

For the blades, there is blue, red, purple and two slightly different types of green. Lego also made a trance yellow bar in this years green lantern set which could be used.

In the clone wars sets, a black blade is used for the darksaber. In the now non cannon EU, there were bronz, silver, gold and white lightsabers and while I'm not so sure about bronz, I think you could do gold, silver and white if you didn't mind them being opaque. There were also light clubs which were larger lightsabers which could be recreated with a regular hilt with a silver stud on each end and three or four translucent 1x1 round bricks attached.

Brick forge also made the the pulse ray and laser beam pieces which can be used as blades. Also, on Firestar Toys, I found them reselling glow in the dark blades from a place called Galaxyarms. I got some and I think they were really nice.

I hope this helps. If you were talking about lightsabers in the form of that Lego Ideas set, then I cant help you there.
