spzero Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 This may be the best place for this thread but I'm not too sure, the 48064c02 underwater boat motor and the older one (also the Playmobil underwater motor is the basic thing but with a different body so it attaches to the playmobil stuff) Does anyone know of a source of replacement motors for these I currently have three non working ones all the motors have seized and would rather replace one part than the whole thing, Thanks In advance Quote
Capn Frank Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 This may be the best place for this thread but I'm not too sure, Hmm... I'm not sure that there are very many trains that use underwater motors. I believe the General Lego Forum is where this topic should be when looking for a place to buy replacement Lego. Are these the motors you are looking for? Quote
Lego Dino 500 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 (edited) Hmm... I'm not sure that there are very many trains that use underwater motors. I believe the General Lego Forum is where this topic should be when looking for a place to buy replacement Lego. Are these the motors you are looking for? I guess you could attach it to a train car and weigh it down using ballast to create a underwater train which could be kinda cool, I'd just be worried about how many cars it could tow. Is there any guide on disassembling and repairing this motor? I just found mine, and it doesn't work. Edit: I just opened mine up and lured a bit of vinegar in the motor to dissolve rust and battery acid, and it works again. I just swabbed out the inside and all the motor contacts and then poured a bit in and let it fizzle and poured it all out, and it seems to work again, but the motor's a bit temperamental. spzero Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 yes that is the one.will try the vinegar inside as I have a few to be fixed. Yes an underwater train would be great, very dystopian.. I know its not train but i'm also not after a pices of lego but a motor and the train crowd are always so helpful and like to open up the old 9v and 12v motors etc Quote
