I found a link for a character guide of the characters in the cantena. You can just look through it and see what you can make to fill out an expanded cantena. I hope this helps.

Thanks! That is helpful. I think for now all I want is a couple of aliens for the vacant booth in my double 75052.

I found this image on yodapedia which is pretty helpful - characters and floor plan!

Also had a go at Tzizvvt using the CMF fly-guy head plus the rebel technicians tan body - sorry he's not too obvious in the photo... he's just lurking at the far side of the bar.

Where did that ponda baba come from?

Where did that ponda baba come from?

It's a little custom job I did - the head came from a 3.75" action fig. It's a bit big, but looks OK compared to a minifig such as the tusken raider - head is about the same size.

When they are released, I might pick up set 75133 and 75136 for these figs.

They would make good additions to the cantina.

Plus, I could add R2-D2 and C3PO from set 75136 to the landspeeder.

What do you think?

If you're only interested in the minifigures, it may be prudent to check Bricklink (or Ebay) as you can usually find them considerably cheaper than buying a complete set (especially when they've just been released!). Jawa's are also included in the 2015 Advent calendar, so they're already quite inexpensive and the cost should continue to drop as more sets are parted out (link) :classic:

I've just ordered some extra Bith for my cantina. However, I only have one cantina and so could someone who has already done this give me a few suggestions for fitting all six? I can't see the pictures so could you just give a brief description please? I know i'll probably have to expand the stage outwards but are there any other ideas?

Also, how have people made the guitar like thing one of them have?

Thanks!

If you only have one cantina set, it may be very difficult to put more than 3 band members in there. Someone else might have a suggestion, but I would think you will need a second set to expand and get more space.

The band are never seen clearly in the actual movie so you can largely do whatever you want. I do think their alcove should be the same size as the others though, otherwise you have a holiday special Cantina which is nothing like the movie. There are actually 7 players in the band, but because they are never all seen together you can use anything from 4 to 7 and most people wouldn't know the difference. Modifying the set, I would expand the width of all alcoves slightly so that 3 band members can stand side by side and then expand the depth so that the others can be put behind. Here is a production still from the movie set (you can just make out the arch of the alcove at the edges of the image): KnNyUV9.jpg

I have a custom Wuher much like the one in your first post - also with farmed heads from The Lone Ranger. I was thinking of doing something similar but relented due to the price of the Cantina set. But with a handful of tan bricks you can extend the original bar a bit out in all directions - and build a proper stage for them to perform.

Thanks for your suggestions! So, until I can find a cantina for a good price I'll just swap over where the band and the Han shooting first areas are and have them spilling out slightly. The 8x6 that I have put as the stage in stead of the 4x8 will mean that the set won't be able to fold up any more but I can live with that. For the guitar thing, I've put a 2x2 round tile on a 1x3 plate so the 1x3 is in the middle and then I put a grill piece on to the exposed stud for the strings with one of those 1x1 with a bracket things with the two studs pointing outwards on one side under the other half of the gril. I then put a stud undernieth for a Bith to hold on to and two more on the bracket. It seams to work.

I created my cantina from parts of 3 sets. I got some inspiration from some designs around the 'net and this forum.

That's looking excellent. What did you use for the Ponda Baba, Snaggletooth and Nabrun Leids heads?

Thanks. Those heads are homemade. Got a modeling clay that you sculpt and bake, and then I painted them. I did the same for the Duros (back left sitting), but I might switch those out once I can get some Duros heads easily in the upcoming Battlefront set.

Very impressive work, they look great!

It's so anoying that these ideas and brilliant designs are coming out just before the knew movie. I want to create these but then I think that I am going to want the knew sets! Three Cantinas sounds impressive. My cantina feels inferior.

Scratch what I said earlier about the guitar. It turns out that the person I asked to describe the band remembered it wrong. So, how have you created the final instruments?

Also, has anyone considered giving the cantina a roof? I've always found it rather odd that one section has a dome but the rest doesn't.

Great job on Elis Helrot and Tzizvvt, I will have to get hold of those. As time goes on we are getting more and more.

Here are a few that I have done based on characters in the movie:

You have also got the head of Cad Bane which can be used for the two Duros, Thi-Sen which is close enough to Muftak, and of course a couple of Jawas which are now getting cheaper since the advent calendar has been released.

What parts are used for the bosshek and the tradoshian charachter?

Bo Shek

Hair 92081 Black

Head 3626cpb0955

Torso Blacktron 973p52c01

Trandoshan

Head Boskk 87570pb01 (should be tan or dark tan with black eyes, but this is all we have without painting)

Should have a dark tan torso, with green arms and dark grey legs.

The torso I have used is 973pb1170c01 with arms swapped out, I am not really happy with it except that it is dark tan.

Thank you, the Boshek charachter is excellent, I will buy the same pieces, for the tradoshian I will use bossk head also, I have another custom head for bossk so I don't have to duplicate that one, if I buy another I would probably paint it, but fine for now, however I don't want to use Kithabas torsos twice so I will look for something else, maybe one of the following:

Could you please give the list of parts you used for the other figs? I can't see, as I've mentioned before, and no one I know would be able to recognise the pieces. Thanks!
