Takanuinuva Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 How much friction does this hinge brick have when its roughly new? I only have one and its from the shark X-pod so its lost friction http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3830c01#T=C I want to use some for hinges on a dragon wing. I'm wondering if I could use this piece or would 3 of the hinge plates stacked together provide better friction? http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=2429c01#T=C Quote
dr_spock Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Hinge bricks swing quite freely. Hinge plates have more friction and are stiffer. Quote
GallardoLU Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 agreed ^ the plates have far more friction than the brick does, 3 may be over kill, and personally I don't like stacking them on each other but instead use 1x2s plates as a spacer. Quote
Takanuinuva Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 Alright then I'll do what Gallardo said. Thanks you can close this topic now. Quote
